Great game...work in progress

This game isn’t rigged and totally possible to pass with patience. I’ve never had to purchase boosts to pass a level. If you don’t succeed, try try and try again. Yes it gets a little frustrating with only 5 lives but you wait for more if you don’t want to spend money and get better to pass the levels. That makes it challenging imo. For those that throw out how they’re first line workers...great, we appreciate that but please let’s not make it a guilt trip to make the game easier for you.To prove it’s possible, just take a look at the #1 person in the tournament right now at level 300+. Face it, the rest of us are far behind and I accept that means we’re just not as good. I’m now playing in the tournament and the only problem is there’s a bug with the London tea setting. The tea can’t be served no matter now much you press on it. Need to fix this.

I have played every cooking game ever made for the App Store, and this one is really good, however you will have to purchase lots of tools to get through the Venice levels toward the end. The difficulty is ridiculous and unlike what the developers say, you will need power ups to get you through the last levels. I’m an essential worker during this COVID crisis, and like many others in the medical profession, I want to be able to relax a little and not become stressed out over a game. I was going to give this 5 stars, but I’m scaling back down to 1 star until they improve the odds. And by the way, all other cooking games have levels that you can replay after so you can gain more coins. Not this game. And all other cooking games give you a little more to entice you to purchase things with real money. Not this game. You decide, but I’m about to delete this and move on to games with fairer gameplay.I would like to add that the fact that you are responding to reviews and not with blanket statements, but actually taking the time to read and reply to them speaks volumes. I will be checking back for those updates, your game is well designed and the graphics are amazing. I am going to give 4 stars for now and will give 5 later if the levels are more fair in Venice. And for the record, I don’t mind spending money on games I love and I have spent money here a couple of times before I arrived in Venice and became frustrated. Thank you so much!!!

What’s with the ads and when will there be a new city???

This used to be my favorite cooking game, however, I have to only give it two stars now. I have spent probably close to $100 over the years, and I didn’t mind because it was a great game. Recently though, I am getting hit up with ads after every couple levels - I have spent more than enough on this game that I should never have to see an ad unless I choose to. I have completed all the levels and earned every star, so I don’t play as often as I did, because heads up, it’s not that fun to just play the same super hard levels over and over in the tournament of champions. It’s boring - will more cities be added after Copenhagen?? It’s been a couple years since any new cities were added. If the ads continue for those of us who have made multiple in app purchases and no new cities are coming online soon, I’ll have to delete. Not to start over, but to get rid of the game. It’s not fun to just keep playing the same tired levels over and over and it’s definitely not worth wasting my time on annoying ads.

edit: The daily task ‘complete combo 3x 2 times’ doesn’t work. I completed a level with 2 combo 3x (stopped combo after 3x) and a different level with 2 full 8x combo; neither finished the daily task.. It’s 2 days in a row I got this task and I’d really like it if it’s fixed. It’s not fun to miss out on full daily completion on a bug since it’s already rare to finish all tasks normally.I enjoy this game, the 8 combo gameplay grows on you overtime, art style is nice on both customers and food. After reaching hong kong its clear this game is becoming a new quick fav with its customer roster. The daily quest full completion isn’t only way to get boosts, I had no idea the gold pouches on mini map had a chance to give a boost. It’s great to earn boosts through completed restaurants and exchanging old city coins for boosts when unlocking a new city, it feels rewarding to progress. And the city details/landmark are v nice.4/5 now for bugs. Bugs like daily quest, visual bug in hong kong first restaurant the fish ball topping visual doesn’t change when upgrading. And combo bug, I don’t know if it’s intensional but I notice the combo timer resets awkwardly fast when pausing the game mid combo, I notice this a lot due to accidental pausing since iphone has tab bar on bottom on screen near food. Otherwise it’s a great game so far, I’m excited to see the future cities. Also could we get a way to invite/unlock old city customers to visit during gameplay?
