This app is great! I work out a lot. I train jujitsu, cycle, weight lift, teach yoga and do yoga, on top of teaching and taking kettlebell classes. I have always I had an issue with not having a period. It was pretty much normal for me to not have a period for about six months at a time. Since using this app it’s like everything is cured. I know when I should and shouldn’t push myself. When I’m being lazy or if it’s just my hormones. When I should increase my carbs and not. It’s crazy how much the knowledge of knowing when you should and shouldn’t do things will completely change your body. I would suggest it for anyone who is athletic.

Has potential but falls a little short for me

I used this app everyday for a couple of months, but despite some great features it just doesn’t work for me. I I like the cycle tracking and having a general idea how to support my training based on where I am at in my cycle. I don’t find the readiness score to be that accurate, I suspect that is because I have a physical job that varies from day to day and I don’t know how to take in account the physical strain of that along with my training. I also don’t need training plans or coaching as I am an experienced athlete. And finally, I am an Apple Health user and track my workouts there. My workouts no long sync with the app. There used to be a work around to “force” them to sync but that’s not working anymore. I find I don’t have the time or desire to enter my training manually into the app. I liked the cycle reports when they were free. I don’t mind paying for an app or certain features but the cost is too steep considering the plan includes coaching and plans—features I don’t need.

I was super excited to get started with Wild since I’m growing in my journey of excessive and trying to figure out how to integrate it with my cycle so this sounded perfect. However, the free option doesn’t allow you use anything but the check (even though they list all these features). I couldn’t connect my ours ring (or any other wearable) No training plans, no connecting devices, no calendar access, no curated insights, etc. I still have it a 2 star because the readiness score works well but I can’t use it to the full extent that I had hoped since I can’t sync my ours ring and I won’t be able to see any training plans to help me figure out what I should be doing. Essentially it doesn’t give me anything more that I already get on Oura. If you don’t have a wearable, then this could be good for you, otherwise not worth the manual tracking.

After reading ROAR by Dr. Stacy Sims and downloading the app, I’ll be honest I was a little skeptical about the whole training schedule… it’s not that I didn’t believe it’d work but I thought it was probably something for serious athletes not average people like me. Well, one day I was rowing and no matter how hard I pushed I wasn’t seeing the power I wanted. Mid-stroke I had an ah-ha moment! The Wild. ai app had JUST told me that based on where I am in my cycle I should be doing endurance work and not intense workouts (I’m in peri menopause.)I’ve now completed an entire cycle following the apps advice and my performance has never been better! I have my period right now, which would usually be when I take things easy but the app said it’s okay to go for high intensity and I was so strong on the rower I thought for a second my resistance was broken! If you haven’t checks out the book and app I highly recommend it!!PS- turns out maybe I AM a serious at home athlete 💪
