Darkrise is a classic hardcore game that was created by two indie developers in nostalgic pixel style.
In this action RPG game you can get acquainted with 4 classes - Mage, Warrior, Archer and Rogue. Each of them has their own unique skills, game mechanics, features, strengths and weaknesses.
Homeland of the game hero has been invaded by goblins, undead creatures, demons and neighboring countries. Now the hero has to become stronger and clean the country from invaders.
There are about 100 location to play on and 3 difficulties. Enemies will spawn in a front of you or appear from portals that will spawn randomly on location every few seconds. All enemies are different and have their unique features. Defective enemies can appear sometimes, they have random stats and you cannot predict their powers.
Fighting system is quite juicy: camera shakes, strike flashes, health drop animation, dropped items fly in sides. Your character and enemies are fast, you always have to move if you don't want to lose.
There are lots of possibilities to make your character stronger. There are 8 types and 6 rarities of equipment. You can make slots in your armor and place gems there, you can also combine several gems of one type to get an upgraded one. The smith in the town will gladly enchance and reforge your armor that will make it even better.

Picture Rastan, Golden Ax, or Gauntlet , but open world and with a Diablo style equipment and crafting system and a Final Fantasy 10 skill tree. I thought I would play this game for a little while and then probably delete it off my phone but I've gotten totally addicted! I was really surprised how fun this is! I would really look forward to playing more games by this designer, they really know what they're doing. Oh and by the way be the rogue character, trust me just be the rogue. It provides a great variety of gameplay options and builds. My only complaint is the wizard and archer basically offer pretty much the same Gameplay style just with the wizard being more powerful so if you liked range combat just skip the archer and go for wizard.

As an inspiring Indie dev, this is a pixel base master piece. - Insanity Set: Maximum damage bonus decreased from 40% to 35%. The bonus is now multiplicative instead of additive, meaning it applies on top of all your existing modifiers, resulting in higher damage.
- Random special modifiers no longer appear on demonstration items in the location drop window or in crafting recipes, to avoid confusing players into thinking they will receive those exact special modifiers when crafting or looting a certain unique item.
- Added color overrides for Soulbinder’s Boots
- Fixed a bug preventing the Mythical Christmas Chestplate from leveling up
- Fixed Barrage animation desync with projectiles
- Added a 0.25 second evade buff after Somersault and Teleport — in other words, you’ll be immune to damage for an additional 0.25 seconds after the animation ends
- Added missing icons for some special modifiers
- Bloodrage Rune duration was fixed — now 10 seconds, as in the description.
- Added "Lock Selected Item" option when upgrading items.
- Added "Damage Tracker Window"with more detailed data (tap on DPS to open).
- Ashen Reaper’s damage decreased by 15%.
- Ashen Reaper can now spawn a fire bat every 30 seconds.

General Changes:
- Elmort town has been redesigned.
- Elmort Catacombs (levels 80–100) have been added.
- Several new quests in Elmort for level 80 characters have been added.
- Tower of Insanity (levels 180–200) has been added, featuring two new bosses: Mutant Rat and Ashen Reaper. Mythical Unification Stones can drop from chests there.
- Several new unique items have been introduced.
- New runes: Divine Wrath, Rage Blood, and Concentration.
- The Haunted Harvest event has been activated.
- Some equipment items (currently weapons, chestplates, and boots) now have a chance to gain bonus modifiers. In the future, a scroll will be introduced to apply them to any item.
Balance Changes:
- Most bosses can now be stunned and frozen, after which they gain control immunity for 10 seconds.
- Witches and the High Demon can now only use healing/berserker abilities a limited number of times, allowing lower-damage players to defeat them.
- Damage of defective mobs reduced by ~2.5x.
- Invisible mobs have been reintroduced.
- Fixed some mob attacks not being interrupted by stun or freeze (likely not all — please report more if you find them).
- Mage: added a new defensive skill - Mindflare.
- Warrior: sword block now consumes energy.
- DoT ticks (Bleeding, Burning, Poisoning) can no longer be dodged once applied.
- The Dragonslayer Set bonus that increased damage based on defense has been nerfed from 40% → 20%.
- All pieces of the Eruption Set now drop from both mobs in the Desecrated Field and the High Demon boss.
- Player characters now regenerate 1% of max health per second by default, instead of a flat value that scaled slightly with level.
- Critical Rate formula has been equalized with the Armor Penetration and Defense formulas. Previously, it provided more value than intended, resulting in excessively high critical chance for minimal investment. It is now balanced to match the value of other stats.
Location and Level Adjustments:
- Due to progression issues after level 120, several locations and bosses have been re-leveled:
- Ancient Fortress: 130 → 125
- Exiled King: 135 → 125 (to match location)
- Skeleton King: 150 → 135 (to match location)
- Snowdale: 160 → 155
- Forgotten Hill & Glacial Swine: 165 → 160
- Lava’s Edge & Infernax: 180 → 170
- Changed the Abandoned Woods level range from 130–150 → 170–180
- Changed the Bridge of Stagnation level range from 150–200 → 180–200
- Reduced the number of mobs in Abandoned Woods by 50%
- Reduced the number of mobs in Bridge of Stagnation by 40%
Other Changes:
- Energy Shield stat modifiers no longer appear on normal equipment items.
- Fixed the “double jump” bug. Default jump height has been increased so characters can now jump up to 3 blocks by default.
- A cooldown timer for the next resurrection via ad is now shown as a debuff. While this debuff is active, dying again will not allow resurrection via ad. It resets when you enter a town.
- When you enter a challenge location (e.g., Enchanted Swamp with the Witch boss), your previous location is cached so you can return to it after completing the challenge.
- Low health screen effect added (can be disabled in Settings).
- Stylist now deducts currency correctly.
- Inventory backup system reworked: items should no longer be lost on crash; the game will revert to the most recent save.
- Inventory is no longer saved on every item pickup. Instead, it saves every few minutes, on game exit, and when the game is minimized. This reduces lag during fights with heavy loot drops and lowers the chance of crashes.

- Animations for the Mage, Warrior, and Archer have been split into upper and lower body parts (similar to the Rogue), allowing characters to move their legs while attacking.
- Character textures now support real-time color customization.
- When creating a character, you can now choose skin, eye, and hair colors. You can change them later at the Stylist NPC. For characters created before this update, the first color change will be free.
- Equipped items now affect character texture colors.(The Mage will be reworked in the future to support more customizable parts.)
- Additional hair, eye, and skin color options can be unlocked via the Customization Pack.
- A new Item Picker UI was added, allowing you to select items from a list by tapping on the appropriate slot.
- Buyback option was added for recently melted items.

- Boss quantity and quality drop rates have been decreased by 20% and 60%, respectively (this does not apply to boss-specific item drops like unique equipment, gems, runes, and unification stones).
- Base drop rates have been increased by approximately 100% for levels 120-200. Fatal mode now increases drop quality to 200% instead of 400%, resulting in an overall drop increase on normal difficulty and similar rates on Fatal.
- Base crystal drop rates have been increased. However, Fatal mode now increases crystal drop to 200% instead of 400%. Overall crystal drop rates compared to the previous version have increased on normal difficulty after level 100, but decreased by 25-50% on Fatal difficulty in level 100-200 locations. Crystal prices for various goods in the shop have - been reduced by approximately 50%.
- EXP gain multiplier has been reduced from 400% to 200% on Fatal difficulty. Required EXP to level up has been halved from levels 120 to 200, meaning you now level up twice as fast on normal difficulty compared to before, while leveling speed remains the same on Fatal difficulty.

General changes:

- Repeatable quests have been added (only in new locations for now);
- Eternite equipment (unique items) have been added, can be crafted into refined and hardened eternite equipment with new resource – eternite;
- New boss has been added – Glacial Swine;
- Mobs in new locations have higher health, drop rates, and give more experience points compared to mobs in other locations;
- Boss Key was renamed to 'Dungeon Key';
- The Demon at the end of Desecrated Field has been remade into a boss. Desecrated Field now requires Dungeon Keys to enter from now on;
- You can no longer teleport directly to Exiled and Skeleton King. Ancient Fortress and Lost Souls Graveyard require Dungeon Keys to enter from now on;
- Runes will no longer drop from all mobs. Instead, bosses will drop weaker versions of runes that can be crafted into functional runes;
- Gem dust has been renamed to 'Magic dust'. Runes are no longer melted into rune dust but into magic dust instead. You can also melt your old rune dust into magic dust.
- Two new runes have been added;
- Name Alteration Scroll was added.
Mage changes:
- New skills: Ice Rain, Freezing Wind, Ice Spikes, Winter’s Breath;
- Fireball can no longer deal damage several times to the same target;
- Cold Orchid Set now increases cold damage by 20%;
- Acid Rain has become a legacy skill and won’t be accessible for new players.
Warrior changes:
- Ground Slam: now has 3 charges.
Rogue changes:
- New skill: Molotov Cocktail;
- Dagger Cut base damage 115% -> 150%.
Archer changes:
- New skill: Ice Shot;
- Hail of arrows was reworked and now is called Rain of Arrows;
- Barrage base damage multiplier: 85% -> 100%;
- Barrage cooldown: 3 sec -> 5 sec;
- Barrage rank 4: +5 projectiles -> enemy piercing;
- Barrage rank 5: enemy piercing -> +20% damage.
Other changes:
- Cyrillic letters can also be used in characters’ names from now on.

General changes:
Skeleton King boss was added, as well as his location and a few new unique items;
Exiled King became a full-fledged boss and got his personal location;
Forest of Wished was added – bonus room with chests and resources, which becomes accessible after completing Bridge of Stagnation;
Health potions were added;
The auto-select function now has more flexible settings;
Drop sorting was improved: now gems will not overlay all equipment items, including uniques;
Interaction options was also improved: Now NPC/chest/resource interactions will appear at the top of the list, followed by dropped items, ordered from the rarest to the most common.
General balance changes:
Mobs don’t have health regeneration stat from now on (but they still can restore their health with heal wave, healing aura, berserker mode etc.);
Every character now has a fixed dodging skill, which can be used to evade enemy attacks;
Knock back applies gravity to flying mobs from now on to prevent them from flying off into the sky;
Heal wave was removed (old players temporarily can still have it).
Mage changes:
Added new skill – Eruption.
Warrior changes:
Berserker can be used while being controlled (stunned, slowed etc.), using this skill releases your character from the control spell;
Blade Throw, old removed skill, was modified and returned to the Warrior;
Last rank of Air Dissection now increases fly speed and distance by 25% instead of decreasing mana cost by 5.
Rogue changes:
Added new skill – Shuriken Throw;
Shadow Cover can be used while being controlled (stunned, slowed etc.), using this skill releases your character from the control spell;
Most skills remove the rogue from invisibility from now on, giving some buffs;
Shadow Slash deals 50% more damage when used from invisibility;
Dance of Blades decreases cooldown of active skills by 35% when used from invisibility;
Poisoned Knives applies 2 stacks of poisoning when used from invisibility;
Shuriken Throw doesn’t go on cooldown when used from invisibility;
Shadow Cover decreases damage taken by an additional 50 when used from invisibility;
Smoke Bomb has 50% increased duration longer when used from invisibility.
Other changes:
Changed the game settings interface panel;
Target FPS option and FPS meter were added in the game settings, playing with lower target FPS saves battery power;
Better performance while using opaque full screen UI panels (like inventory, crafting, enchanting);
Reduced the size of some textures by using more modern compression method;
The game now forces unused assets to unload from memory every time you change a location;
Bug fixed:
Bug that caused the game to freeze when playing offline for a long time was possibly fixed. While reading Admob (Google ads API) documentation we found out that we should have called “Destroy” function on every created ad object, which we didn't do, believing that these objects are automatically freed from memory, like other C# objects, when nothing references them.
