My cable tv on Friday stopped broadcasting the live coverage, unless you had Peacock. I refuse to submit to big conglomerates taking over everything. So I looked around and found out you had live coverage of featured groups on the USGA app. So I downloaded and started watching. It’s nice to watch every shot of a group for all 18 holes. Most tv coverage is mostly putting or sand shots. Enjoyed the commentary, on point and entertaining. Thank you USGA for your coverage. Now that’s growing the game. Thx Steve F.

First of all, I attended the tournament and found the ux of the app to be poorly designed, especially the map, which is not calibrated correctly and will send you on a goose-chase with the arrows not even facing the correct compass direction or correctly calculating distance. Additionally, the player finder was not updated live, half the time the icon for finding players would be in the wrong place on the course or the wrong group would be displayed. But where this app really fails is the stream, I constantly got “something went wrong” errors, or wouldn’t load certain videos at all even at home on 1gbps wifi. Stream would cut out randomly, especially at ad breaks. Please contract someone other than Deloitte in the future, as this prevented me from watching several of my favorite players at the tournament. They aren’t a tech first company, they are consultants and accountants with a horrid reputation for delivering on their promises.

The back -450 yards longer than the front nine give me a break you pick the soft course and it illuminates half of the field, harder courses bring out the better players It’s time for something in the middle of the country as well it’s east coast west coast and why would you not start the Tee Times earlier as you cut the field by 2/3 who is the ridiculous +2 they should’ve been taking off 730 Pacific time that would’ve been 1030 on the East Coast even if you have why would you have the broadcast going into? Been using the new USGA app through the US Open so far, it’s really made the live experience better. Live stats and alerts were perfect for keeping up with my favorite players while I was on other parts of the course. The video highlights and shot tracing were handy for catching up quick - and the map was a lifesaver for finding my way around to watch the players. Would’ve been totally lost without it. Solid app!
