Whether you come to fly or to watch, the official EAA Events app is a must-have for attendees who want the “World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration” at their fingertips!
EAA AirVenture Oshkosh is our flagship seven-day event, in July at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and is the ultimate celebration of aviation.
Features of the app include:
View, filter, and search EAA AirVenture events, attractions, guest services, destinations, workshops, speakers, and exhibitors.
Plan Your Visit & Build Your Itinerary
Browse the schedule of events and create your own personal day-by-day, hour-by-hour itinerary so that you don’t miss the events, activities, and exhibitors. Upon downloading the app, you’ll need to enter your name and email address, then respond to the email confirmation message. Then you’ll be able to build your itinerary on the EAA Events desktop portal and view or adjust your itinerary from your mobile device.
Notifications
Receive in-app notifications regarding activities, weather, and important schedule changes from the app home screen or main navigation menu. You’ll find the most up-to-date news and information and can even have your mobile device notify you when notifications are published in the app.
The EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2022 event in the app is sponsored by BendixKing.
Be prepared to spend a lot of time sorting out the login requirements. The account in the app is different from your EAA account though you need to use the same email address for the app as you do for the EAA web site. And since you likely have an ID on the EAA site, you can’t use that ID here apparently. When you enter your email address and request a link, you are not done until you continue with enter your first and last name. This is an unnecessary additional step which has to be completed before the link is actually sent to you. That isn’t very clear. In the end, this app really shouldn’t require a login at all. It is just an informational type app and would be best suited for showing simply the event calendar and maps.
Good, but search tool is inadequate

Unlike other reviewers I find logging in straightforward and the maps clear and easy to use. What is missing is a good search tool. Put in “Theater in the Woods” for example, and it comes up with four events for the entire week. A search by a presenter’s last name also comes up empty. Automated index tools exist to make this a snap. Adding one would make this a five-star app.
Great source of all the info you could need!

I have been going to AirVenture and using the app for the past few years since they have had an app. It has improved immensely since it first came out (which is when a lot of 1 star reviews were made). As of now I think its is very user friendly and has been super helpful to create my own personal schedule of events. It is also a great source of communication from the people who run the event because they will alert you to things like weather or a Blue Angel fly-over! Having this app definitely makes the experience at AirVenture much smoother than in the past!
Still cannot see all times an event repeats
claudiofriederich
Unfortunately, the app still has the same crucial flaw that it had since the beginning. The same event, like a forum presentation, which repeats multiple times, does not list all the days and times it repeats. Instead, the event is simply duplicated at different times. This makes it impossible to plan what day works in your schedule, or even find out if you have a choice. You can only, once you find an event, do a search for its title and hope the search catches them. You then would have to add them all to your schedule, and at the end go through your schedule manually to figure out a scheme that works. That there is no way to view the schedule by event, only by time and date, is such a crucial flaw in a scheduling system.
This update includes a redesigned login and account screen, the ability to set your own one-on-one meeting locations, improved search fields, more social media options in profiles, and various performance enhancements for a smoother experience.
