I have to sign into the app every time I open it, like literally type in my user name and password. It works well to pay rent and looking at the features. My features are the front door and thermostat. The thermostat on the app is stuck on heat, it’s summer and we have it on air. In other words 50% of what I’m paying for isn’t working. Maybe the fees should be lower until they work out the kinks. That’s fair, right?Edit-update:I was able to speak with the smart home team and get my thermostat connected properly as of today. It’s working and reading correctly.

I live in Charlotte NC and have just been using the mobile site to manage my smart devices for a little over a year now.. but after being locked out of my house yesterday because the site wouldn’t connect & work for the thousandth time, I looked to see if there was an app and immediately downloaded. I put in my log in information and it said the app is not yet available in my location. I find that extremely odd and disappointing considering I live in such a big city and there are tons of tricon properties here. It said to be on the lookout for an email announcing the availability in my area and I’m just wondering how long that will be considering the app has been out for 4+ years? The mobile site just gives me so much trouble because sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. It doesn’t connect for some odd reason even though there is no issues with my wifi or cellular data. Then when I click on scan for networks it’s like it glitches and literally doesn’t even show the wifi options so there’s no way to try and reconnect. I just have to wait and try again like the next day or something and see if it randomly works again. I was really hoping this app would be the answer to the website issues!

Work orders disappear and reappear, have long wait times over the phone because this app lacks basic functions that Pathlight had, paying rent is a PAIN because it’s either charges don’t post until a day before or you cannot add or make a payment whatsoever through the app. I try to go online, it says my information doesn’t exist and then I try to make an account and it says I can’t make one because my account already exists, I try to log in, doesn’t allow me. And then while I’m waiting and waiting, I request a callback which never comes, or I do the text and they have no idea what’s going on. It’s terrible! Horrible app, horrible customer service, a giant inconvenience. Pathlight was way more user friendly and had basic necessities as in you could text/email directly through app and kept proper records. What a disaster this has been.

Pros: easy navigation Cons:-after a maintenance request is submitted it disappears until it is closed. The first time this happened I submitted another request and it was immediately closed because they said it was a duplicate and weren’t sure why open requests don’t show up. I am unable to see the status of my request, ask questions or request updates. I have had to call the property management 5 times regarding one issue that has yet to be resolved. -unable to send messages or communicate with property management through app-after a payment is made, balance isn’t updated so pre-payments must be manually tracked -I requested follow up in my move in questionnaire and not only did I never received follow-up but it was deleted and no longer appears in the app-I am required to pay $24/month for “smart home features” (motion detector, door lock, thermostat) but the motion detector doesn’t appear, I was told it doesn’t work with the app. The only thing I can do is lock the door and see the temp. Certainly not worth $24. I tried to opt out but was told no one is allowed to opt out. -violations from the previous tenant showed up on my app, I had to email and have removed
