I had just upgraded to the new VeraEdge controller about 3 months ago and I regret it. It doesn’t recognize controller commands unless you wait to see if anything happened and then try again. This makes automation useless. They also deprecated the Vera app and the new MiOS app is a UX nightmare. Scenes are now mesh bots. During setup they show the current status of the device so you can’t tell the difference between enabling a setting or controlling it. Also the web and iOS app don’t sync reliably. I asked for a refund and they keep trying to get me to get Tech Support to help me make the changes — I don’t have time for that.

I have been using this app quite successfully with my Vera Edge controller. But the recent updates, characterized as "bug fixes", have caused the app to forget my controller and to allow only new models to be enrolled. This either is a massively bad coding error or a bald-faced attempt to force people to buy new hardware. Unfortunately, buying new hardware not only involves costs, but likely hours of reconfiguring one's network and settings. Beware!

In order to get a light switch on or off with this app, you have to verify you have to first click off and then ask you do you want to Hello yes I wanted to turn it off. I wouldn’t have pushed it. You have to do everything twice to make it Work.
