Hide distractions on websites such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, LinkedIn, Gmail and take back control of your attention!
While we acknowledge the distracting and engrossing nature of these sites, completely blocking them is not always feasible due to the valuable content they offer.
This Safari extension allows you to selectively hide attention-grabbing components on each site. For instance, on YouTube, you have the option to conceal recommended videos, shorts, comments, and more. Similarly, on Facebook and Instagram, you can hide the feed, reels, stories, and other elements. The same goes for each supported site.
Furthermore, SocialFocus offers an array of supplementary features, including Startup Settings, Import / Export and more.
Users who want to support the development of the project can additionally subscribe to the PRO version. The PRO version will give access to some additional features that are not available in the standard version, such as hotkey configuration, settings synchronization and some others.
NOTE: This extension does NOT work with the apps, it works only for websites while using the Safari browser.

I have a big screen time issue with instagram especially and going through university with it isn’t super easy. I’ve tried many tools such as using the website exclusively or sheer will power for avoiding reels but it’s never worked. This overall is really good for what it does. As far as pros I mean it works for the most part (it’s only through the browser not an actual app). As for slight cons if u force scroll really hard u can scroll briefly the home page but its like a nano second. Sometimes it also shows old dms idk why. This will solve most of the problem, the other is ur own. I do wish it could be implemented in the actual app tho. Overall 4/5
So appreciative of this

My mental health, my free time and my pocket book all thank you. Because of this app I’m reclaiming my time in order to study for an exam that will help me improve my income and improve my life situation. I also have so many goals that I don’t engage with because of scrolling on FB and Twitter in particular. I am so glad this is out there because I have been looking for something that works on mobile and for apps. I’ve used an extension blocking my FB feed on my laptop in the past but have been looking for one for these purposes as it’s where I have the easiest access to apps and waste the most time. $3 price made it justifiable to try out and I’ll highly recommend it to all looking to reclaim there time from the horrible habit of addictive scrolling that these social media companies have engineered. Thanks again.

This is exactly what I’ve wanted for Facebook, especially on iOS.But there are unintended issues that have arisen that make it almost not worthwhile to keep this activated. On iOS I often use the Facebook “copy link” menu option, because copying the URL seems to never go back to the specific FB page, only the home page, which is so dumb on Facebook’s part. But unfortunately SocialFocus is blocking access to the menu. A transparent gray sheet opens up, where Facebook is trying to present the menu but SF has canceled it out.And on macOS with the timeline feed turned off, I’ve noticed that when I want go to a specific page with a photo and then try to access the menu to download the photo, the menu isn’t there.I’m sure it’s a bit complex to build SF and get it to handle the monstrosity that is Facebook, but these inconveniences make it hard to keep using SF. To copy a link or find a menu macOS, I have to go out of my way to disable the extension for that interaction.I can share my specific setup of what’s turned on, if that would help refine that setting to allow the menu etc to come through while keeping the main setting blocked.

Please update to the latest version — issues with Facebook menus and interactions have been fixed there.I’m also continuously refining how elements are blocked to avoid interfering with things like menus. If anything still feels off, feel free to reach out at swifterapps@gmail.com and I’ll take a closer look.
Works great, needs syncing/account management

This app is great, thank you. The ability to optionally sync between my devices and between Safari profiles would be very useful. Currently I need to manually configure 4 devices * 4 Safari profiles * 6 websites = 96 config menus to fill out. The recent update added more options while breaking previously set configurations. Expecting users to do this once, let alone after each non-backwards compatible update, is unreasonable.Edit: The PRO subscription is essentially required if you use Safari profiles, unless you need want configure literally thousands of menu options. Also, "Hide Subreddit Feed" now hides reddit comments as well on macOS Safari.
Developer Response
In the basic version, you can use the import and export functions to move your settings between browsers and devices with a few clicks. You can also upgrade to the PRO version and activate synchronization to automate this process.
Thanks for choosing SocialFocus! We’re glad to help you stay more mindful online.
This update improves performance and fixes a few bugs.
