Really good, but needs to be integrated with the Health App

I’ve been using this app for a long time and I like it a lot. I like the ability for documenting detailed symptoms and moods, and the ability to add notes and custom icons. The reminders are very helpful. I like having different choices for customizing the skins/appearance of the app as well. I also like the fact that you can set up a startup password and use the fingerprint ID.The only problem I've had with this app was a couple of years ago when my data got deleted from my phone even though I hadn’t done an update. I contacted the company but was’t able to retrieve it because I hadn’t created an account yet, so it wasn’t being backed up to their server. I don’t know exactly what happened, it might have been something that I did. I just wish I had setup an account early on to prevent the issue in the first place.I really wish that they would integrate this app with the Health app to make it easier to get the data that they have in common into that app concurrently, instead of having to enter the same data into multiple apps. I would give it five stars if they did that.
Another monthly expense 😡

I’ve had this app for many years and they up and changed the entire thing with a seemingly innocuous update which wouldn’t be so bad had it not been for the unattractive new layout and frustrating interface with new features nobody asked for. I think most phones nowadays come with a pedometer I’m not going to use this one. I don’t think I lost any data in the update but the fact that they decided charge AGAIN for their “premium” features, all of which used to be included in the original paid app, is so pretentious and completely alienates those of us who have had this app for years. The new “subscription” not only costs 5x the original price for the baseline but it’s a monthly reoccurring fee, like women need something else to be charged for just for having a period every month. What did you people do sell your app to Facebook or Viacom?! Yeah I’m not paying JACK for this crap I would rather do it the “old fashioned way” and get a dang calendar and a pen! This was a really stupid move devs, you obliterated your original base just to jump on the “fee” bandwagon. If the new fees are because you can’t afford the data anymore then say so and give fair advanced warning instead of just hitting us with this out of nowhere. I hope women read these reviews first and don’t get swindled into actually buying a grossly overpriced subscription.
Some issues and no way to contact support

2026 update: I can no longer track fertility. Nothing on that screen is working. In addition, when I want to send a report, the menu to share via messages, email, etc. doesn’t load correctly so while I can usually get the data where I want it, it is kind of a crapshoot. And the option to send feedback is gone so I can’t even report a bug. Very annoying. I’ve been using this app for 17 years and have been happy in past. Hopefully the developer will at least read reviews. 2021: I’ve been using this app for about twelve years now and have come to rely on it to keep all my info organized and on hand. There have been a couple of glitches over that time, but nothing that was not resolved with updates or help from support. However, latest update needs some serious fixing. Every time I open the app, I have to log in AND all my settings have reverted to default. All my data is still there, but every single setting preference is gone. This needs to be fixed. It’s beyond annoying because all the reminders are reset to default as well which makes them useless. Please fix this problem! I’m a long time lover of this app and right now, I’m nearly cussing every time I open it.
Coming back

I started using another app about 2 years ago for tracking my period and I liked it cuz it was more minimal not a bunch of other stuff. Like my previous review it had the circular cycle info on its home page that I really liked. I decided to come back and look at iPeriod because I wondered if it had been updated. And it has, so that’s a plus. I like that they have the circular cycle on the “home” page and some of your personal averages. I really like that as long as you have the info you can log past periods as far back as you have/can. I have been tracking my period since 2010 (since I got my first iPhone). It’s a great app. A few things that would be great is to be able to sync the info from the app with the iPhone health app. I read that you can supposedly share health app info with iPeriod but it would be nice to do both ways. It would be great if there was more options than light, medium and heavy for tracking flow as there are more options in tampons like light, regular, super, super + and ultra. Something like light, regular, moderate, heavy, and super; something like that. I think others might appreciate being able to be a little more specific in tracking their flow.Previous review: I really like this app. It was the first period tracking app I got and I've tried others hoping to like them more. But I always end up hating the others. I do wish the "home" screen had the circular cycle info like some others have, instead I have to go to my calendar or set it to open with the calendar to see that info. It would also be nice if there was a setting to remind you to use the app everyday or on the days of your period. B/c sometimes I forget to log my symptoms of the day. Otherwise it's great you can log all past periods easily, you can customize the look of the app, it can send you a reminder of when your period is coming and other great stuff too.
Good news! iPeriod is now updated for iOS 26.
This update keeps everything running smoothly and ensures compatibility with Apple’s newest features.
