I’m a contractor with a large organization. As such, I have to track the time I spend working on multiple tasks so I can properly bill for my time. I have been using the Pro version of the Now Then app for about a year and I love it! The app allows you to add your own tasks and sub-tasks and even allows scheduling out tasks. The app provides daily/weekly/yearly views of all your data as well as filtering control for fine tuning your data reports. I ran into one issue I experienced with the app after updating to the latest OS, so I emailed the app support and was contacted within the hour. Working with the developer/technician he helped me to resolve the issue and I was “up and running” again shortly after. I’m very thankful for the prompt response and attention I was given...thanks Robert!Overall, I would highly recommend the Now Then app to anyone looking for an easy way to track the time they spend working individual tasks for their job. The app is easy to use and you’ll wonder how you got along without it before.

It's one of those apps that you want to learn to use. So that's already a good thing. I think one of the main things that can be updated if possible is the wiglet. It gives you option of opening the drop down list of tasks you set up to track. But if I click on a task, it takes me to the "then" page that has everything summed up. At bare minimum it should take me to the now page so I can click on which ever task I need to start tracking (the way it does with a task already being timed in background). Ultimately would be nice to hit play and stop in the wiglet section, but I don't know if this is an option. I also find the play/stop buttons rather small. I sometimes hit the description instead of the play/stop. Also, personally, I hold my phone with left hand and tap on stuff using right hand. So the fact that these important play/stop buttons are all the way on the left side of the phone makes it more of a commitment. I already see this wouldn't be the best app to use on the go. Only for stuff you sit down at a desk and have time to slowly and carefully select. Also the weekly view. I'm not sure (with so many other options available) how come it's not an option to scroll instead of jumping week to week. Also don't understand why is the current day of the week highlighted when viewing future weeks. I understand highlighting current day on any colander as a point of reference. Also like others said, can't track stuff simultaneously. I'll be looking out for updates, but maybe this is just not for me.
Still better than most

This app has truly held up to the test of time and is still worth the investment.Yes, it’s been a minute since this was updated. The app has been around even longer.I would imagine the simplicity of the app has helped it stay viable. It does what it claims to do and does it well. With severe ADHD (inattentive), I have tried most of the reasonably priced time tracking apps for the past 10 years. Here’s why this app is still my #1 go to:1. It’s fast: to load and to enter a new task on the fly - I can always drill down later.2. I can add as much or as little detail as I want.3. For me, it’s incredibly intuitive.4. It enables “by the clock” and color-coded analysis of how you spend your time over a few days, weeks, months.5. It reminds you to use it at intervals you set.6. It still works; very stable with minimal bugs (I’m running current version of iOS 18).You should totally skip this app if:- you like complicated data entry- you want constant upgrades that might break something else- you want more flexibility with colors- you want to use this on a device other than iPhone or iPad (like Apple Watch, Web based, Mac)- you don’t like nesting categories- you want templates- you want updates (I’m trying to cajole the original al developers to return to the app)- you have an eidetic memory of how you’ve spent your time.I truly hope to see enough advancements to keep it functional as new versions of iOS are released. Adding features would be gravy.
Perfect for flipping between multiple projects and reporting
Steve45a21
The app is just what I need for easy flipping between multiple projects that I have to account for for two different employers. It also makes it VERY simple and fast to correct the occasions I forget to flip the log to a different project. I generally hate logging my time and am always moving back and forth between work on many projects, the simple interface makes it effective for me. The ability to creat bar and pie charts within the app and export a spreadsheet of the data makes it everything I need for my work. It calculates the totals for the project in a day, week, month, or all time format and calculates the percentage of that project of my time spent. This is fantastically helpful to me in helping me manage and report how my time is spent. The iCloud backup and sync gives me peace of mind that I wont lose all my data if I lose or break my phone and I can move between multiple devices. Everything is working nicely.
