Understanding harmony is an essential skill for any musician. Harmony is the springboard that elevates melodies to their full emotional potential.
Harmony Cloud™ is a revolutionary step forward in the world of ear training created by world renowned jazz vibraphonist and music educator Stefon Harris, and software engineer and jazz trombonist Kate Jiang. It is designed to help all musicians, from beginner to professional, expand their ears, deepen their understanding of harmony, and fearlessly explore the world of improvisation. Its underlying patented harmonic algorithm stitches together chords you select into an unending source of unpredictable, yet musical, chord progressions.
Harmony Cloud can be tailored to any musician's or teacher’s needs. Chord progressions can range from very simple I, IV, V to progressions that include hundreds of chords. This makes it easy to learn and grow at your own pace. You have control of all aspects of the music including tempo, volume, sounds, key signature, and much more.

I am a Pianist and I have been using Hanon exercises on and off for many years to improve my technique. However as with other mechanical exercises, they can be quite draining because they are repetitive and unmusical. Now with Harmony Cloud Pro, I now have a means to complete Hanon (and other methods). HCP has inspired me to truly engage in deep practice as I can now simultaneously work on my ears and my technique. The only limit to what you can achieve with this app is your own imagination. MC.
AI chord suggestions are annoying
Pacoeldemoniaco
Seems like a good app but everytime i try to practice certain chords there’s always random AI generated chords and that’s cool for certain moments but i want to be able to turn it off. It is really annoying when every chord I get was not the chord i choose to practice and I can’t find how to turn it off anywhere or where to contact the developers. There’s also the fact that you can’t choose certain chords if they are not borrowed, I get why but there should also be an option to bypass this and be able to practice every possible chord. I’m going to change this review when it is fixed or the developers respond because it’s not a bad app.
Improve your musicianship
OliverGly
I recommend this app to any musician looking to deepen their sense of harmony. I also recommend to really put in some time with the challenges / chord collections / practice techniques / etc. It takes a bit to start appreciating (and hearing) what’s going on under the hood. This is not an app with random chords thrown at you, but a very thoughtful approach on how to build a contextual and musical ear as you expand out the sonorities.
Amazing App
localfreshvibes
This is a wonderful resource for both students and educators. It’s clear that a lot of love and hard work went into creating it, thanks to one of the great musical minds of our generation, Stefon Harris. I’ll be using this in my own studies, as well as incorporating the introductory functions as an ear-training tool for my students.
Harmony Cloud has been completely redesigned from the ground up. Explore 1000+ immersive ear training exercises and hundreds of new chords.
