With the update to version 5.7.5 of the eBike Connect app, there were connection problems between the eBike Connect app and Kiox. This has caused the GPS connection to be lost and navigation on the Kiox to stop. We have fixed this problem with the update of the eBike Connect app to version 5.7.6.

New features: • New statistics: We have redesigned the overview of your statistics in the eBike Connect app. You can now see the number of your rides, the total distance travelled, the total duration of all your rides and the elevation altitude metres covered. These values apply to the current month. The differences to the previous month are now indicated by arrows below the total values. • If you click on the "Learn more" button, you will see your statistics. There you can switch between monthly, annual and overall statistics. You can now also see your personal records for the longest and fastest rides of the respective year and your history. • Maps: The maps were updated as of October 2024. The map update includes Nyon (BUI350), Kiox, the eBike Connect app and the eBike Connect online portal. Improvements: • We have fixed several bugs and improved the functionality, e.g. when finding an address for a point of interest. Announcement: • With immediate effect, it is no longer possible for eBike Connect users to purchase premium features (Premium feature Lock, Topo range indicator, Custom riding modes) as an in-app purchase. If you have already purchased the premium features, nothing will change. You can use them as usual and the Terms and Conditions apply.

New features: • Search for activities: You can now search for individual rides more easily in the eBike Connect app. In your activities, simply search for the name of the completed ride or filter by length or duration. • Saved locations: We have improved the route planning. You can now use locations saved in the eBike Connect app as a starting point or a stopover for your route: You can, for example, add your home or your workplace. You will find these options marked by an icon under 'Map' > 'Route planning'. Improvements: • We have fixed several bugs and improved stability, e.g. for the Bluetooth connection of Kiox and Nyon. • The eBike Connect app now also works with iOS18.

In this version we have fixed a bug with the iPhone battery consumption.

New features: • Navigate to the next point of interest: Whether it's an ice cream parlour or an eBike dealer – simply call up the map view and tap on the address search field to search for a destination, and the list of POI categories will be displayed below the search field. From there, you can choose from nine different POI categories to define your new destination – always starting from your current location. • Delete rides and tours: You can now delete entire tours in their detail view. Swipe left to delete an individual ride. If you want to delete all your activities in eBike Connect, you can do so under More > Settings > My profile. Improvements: • We’ve implemented a number of bug fixes and improvements. Elevation, ascent and descent values for activities, for example, are more accurate again and navigation with Kiox works more reliably. We’ve also laid out the activity details more clearly.

New features: Save activity as a route: From now on, you can save every completed activity as a route not only in the eBike Connect online portal, but also in the app. You have the option of saving the route with or without navigation instructions. GPX export: Completed activities can now also be exported and shared in the app in GPX format. Improvements: Maps: The maps were updated as of October 2023. The map update includes Nyon (BUI350), Kiox, the eBike Connect app, and the eBike Connect online portal. We have made a number of minor bug fixes. For example, we have ensured that the height difference is now displayed correctly for routes planned with komoot. In addition, the location data is now reliably transferred to your Kiox again when the app is running in the background. In order to provide you with a unique experience in terms of functionality and performance, the eBike Connect app will only support iPhones with iOS 15 or later in future.

- Improved navigation: You have found a nice route and want to start navigating on Kiox immediately – no matter where you are? In the revised Saved Routes menu, you can now select whether you want to be navigated to the start or destination of the route or start the route directly from your current position. If you're still not sure what to choose, we've included a few hints in the appropriate places. - All saved routes at a glance: From now on you can view all your saved routes in the eBike Connect app, without any restrictions. It doesn't matter whether the routes were saved in eBike Connect, komoot or Outdooractive: With the update you can see them all in your eBike Connect app. Simply drag the list from the bottom to the top to load more saved routes. You can find your saved routes as usual in the map area under the symbol with the right turn arrow at the bottom right of the screen. - A small improvement in the route planning menu now gives you more information about the active route profile without losing sight of the map view. You can still get more details by dragging the three dots at the bottom of the screen. - From now on, only routes that are marked as Bike category in komoot will be imported into the eBike Connect app. - The current eBike battery status is now regularly updated in the eBike Connect app so that you can always see the latest status. - We have also corrected a few things: For example, we made sure that the correct values are being sent to the Apple Fitness app.

- Remember locations: You can now set markers for locations in the map view and include them in your route. You can access this function via the new bookmark icon in the map screen of the app at the bottom left. For example, park your car, bookmark the parking position and start your eBike ride - that way, you can navigate back to the car later. You can also use this icon to add your current location to your saved locations directly from the eBike Connect app. - Extended activity details: You can now find more parameters in the detailed view of your activities (maximum heart rate, maximum cadence, maximum altitude). - We have updated the battery widget for the lock screen. You can now display the battery status in two different layouts. - We have made a number of minor bug fixes and improvements, for example, renaming your eBike is also possible in the app.

Adjusting a route created in the app at a later date is now possible. In the map area you will find many new options to edit the routes you have already created. Add new stopovers, change the order of the planned stops, turn the originally planned route into a round trip and much more. Ultimately, you decide whether you want to save your changes or create a new tour from them. When you plan your next trip, it no longer has to be based solely on your current location: you decide where your next experience begins. Use the new function to enter the start address directly or tap on the map and select where the route should start from. Sharing directly from the app now works for all eBike Connect or Outdooractive tours: simply select the desired Tour, export as GPX and use the share options of your smartphone. With immediate effect, you can also transfer the heart rate recorded by the Apple Watch to eBike Connect. This will add more data to your ride statistics. This way you can track your fitness goals even better – and achieve them. How does it work? After installing the latest update, the eBike Connect Watch app will automatically appear on your Apple Watch. Open it and follow the instructions there to sync your heart rate data from the Apple Watch to eBike Connect. Nyon and Kiox users take note: the transmission of Apple Watch heart rate data with eBike Connect only works if there is an active connection between Nyon and the smartphone during the entire ride. The map material has been updated for the portal and app (version October 2022).

In this version we have made sure that the newly introduced GPX import feature is working correctly for all GPX files.

Import your GPX files directly in the eBike Connect app: As with the online portal, you can now upload your self-created or shared routes directly in the smartphone app in the ‘Map’ section and follow them using Kiox or Nyon displays. You can even receive turn-by-turn navigation instructions. We have also fixed some minor bugs and made some improvements - for example, we have improved the way the map is displayed in ‘Offline’ mode and also optimised the search function when you don't have an active internet connection.

Strava: Record your activity data and sync it with your community on Strava. Once you have linked your Strava account in the eBike Connect app, you can automagically synchronise all your newly recorded activities to your Strava profile. In addition to individual segments, also the daily summary can be automatically uploaded to Strava. Visit the eBike Connect app settings under "Settings" > "Connected apps" > "Strava" to set this up. Similar to the implementation in the online portal, you can now reset the changes you've done using the custom riding modes premium feature, change your e-mail address and show your average power output in the activities summary. - Apple Health: Activate the connection to Apple Health just once to ensure all your rides are automatically logged in the Apple Health app. Open the settings of the eBike Connect app and activate the connection to the Health app under "Connected apps". - Help Center: Our Help Center provides quick assistance. You will find answers to important questions, as well as useful tips. You can now also find the contents of the Help Center in your eBike Connect app under "More" > "Help Center". - Measurement units: Go to "My profile" and choose between metric or imperial units. - Map material: The map material has been updated as of October 2021. The map update also includes Nyon and the eBike Connect online portal. - Improved value calculation: A few improvements provide more accurate altitude and ascent/descent values when planning routes in eBike Connect. - komoot: Similar to the implementation in the online portal, you decide whether, in addition to individual segments, only the daily summary should be synchronised with your komoot profile. You can control this setting in the eBike Connect app under "Settings" > "Connected apps" > "komoot". - eBike Connect Widget: On the home screen on your iPhone, you will find the display of the current eBike battery charge level and the total distance covered. We have made a few improvements to ensure stable functiomality. We offer this function in connection with Kiox or Nyon. The function is compatible with all devices on which iOS 14 or newer is available. - Menu structure: A clearer menu structure in the map screen provides a quick overview. To use eBike Connect, you need at least iOS 12.

- Status overview: Current information on the status of our systems, as well as announcements of planned maintenance, can now be found under ‘More’ > ‘System status’. - Optimisation for iOS 15. - We made a few corrections in our iOS app, such as the partially incorrect display of the charging status of your eBike battery and the manual synchronisation of your activities with komoot.

General improvements in stability and performance.

- Edit your saved locations: you can now not only rename but also fully edit your saved locations. Go to Map > Saved locations > tap on the info icon > change the name or address of your saved location. Tip: add or change your home and work addresses in the eBike Connect app and get directions faster. - eBike battery charge status: Under "My eBike" you can see the current charge status of your Nyon equipped eBike battery, displayed directly beneath the bike icon. - Synchronise your komoot planned tours to eBike Connect: in addition to the automatic synchronisation of komoot planned tours to eBike Connect, you can now manually trigger this process. You'll find the new button on the upper right side of the screen under Map > Saved routes. - Maps: The maps were updated as of October 2020. The map update also includes Nyon (BUI350) and the eBike Connect online portal. - Ascent & Descent: When using Kiox for you rides, under Activities > Activity > swipe once to the left to see the values for ascent and descent. - Addressed some issues with inaccurate altitude and ascent/descent values. - General improvements in stability and performance.
