I downloaded this app after seeing it on TikTok. I struggle with postpartum depression and a big part of it is the nights where I feel lonely. In my head I would convince myself that I was the only person in the world that was awake and struggling - but boy, was I wrong. In the night I am up either feeding my son or pumping, always sleep deprived. This all has allowed me to see I am in fact not alone. I am able to see other moms around the world that are also awake when I am. It also allows me to send and receive virtual hugs from them and words of encouragement. This app is a game changer when it comes to postpartum and feeling less lonely - and helping others feel less lonely as well.

Nighttime feedings can be the loneliest time, but when I light my beacon and see how many other moms (IN MY AREA) are also up with their babes I feel a little less alone. My second favorite part are the little notes moms can leave each other offering support! It truly takes a village and this app feels like part of that!

I always check the map and even though it seems like I’m the only one in my area who has this app I can see a handful of people in the cities near by who will have it on. It feels like a distant friend who is going through tough times with you also- I always sent them a wave. I do wish we could send them little notes of support but even a hug or wave means a lot ❤️

Personally with my first child I remember the nights feeling like I was the only one awake in the world and got horrible sunset anxiety. With this app- I haven’t felt so alone. Connecting silently with other moms and knowing that at 230 am there are other moms doing the same thing, takes the loneliness away and gives reassurance. It’s a simple app but makes a world of a difference for mental state. I recommend having even if you don’t use every night.
