Description

Allworx Reach brings the rich functionality of your Allworx phone to your mobile device. Create a SIP handset to place and receive calls, including Transfer, Park, and 3-way conference. You'll have easy access to Contacts (Allworx directory, personal, and contacts shared from other apps) and Call History, including Allworx users' Presence and Busy Lamp Field status. Manage your voicemails.

NOTE: In order to receive calls when the app is in the background, this app REQUIRES access to an Allworx server running software version 8.4 or newer. If your Allworx server is running older pre-8.4 software or is running in a network environment that does not support push notifications, Reach will suggest that you use Allworx Classic Reach 4.2 instead.

Works just barely acceptably

The Audio will only connect about 25% of the time. Both outgoing and incoming calls. Particularly when answering from a locked screen. (IE the way I answer most calls). The call will connect but no audio can be heard on either end. The only work around I’ve found is to switch apps to and from AllWorx several times. Eventually, the audio connects and the app works ok.

Changing networks also causes the call although this has not been as large of an issue.

If the audio Issue were fixed this would be a solid app.

Needs a LOT of work

I have some of the fastest internet you can get and have full connectivity on all of my devices in all ranges within my house. This app CONSISTENTLY disconnects, drops calls, and has poor call quality. I’m on a brand new iPhone 11 Pro Max and this is just unacceptable. I was actually forced to use my phone data and attempt to use the app in that manner because it’s just so finicky and rough. My clients say I sound like I’m underwater and incoming calls sometimes don’t even register. My coworkers did realize that if you’re connected to WiFi, the app just does a full barrel roll and doesn’t know what to with itself. I’ll even have my phone randomly trying to connect to the office’s server just to disconnect and reconnect 3 seconds later. I don’t recommend ANYONE download this until they get their app together. Absolutely unacceptable.

I want to like this app... but...

With every bug fix, new bugs arrive. For ages, I couldn’t answer incoming calls. When I tried, the incoming caller audio was fine, but my audio back to them was unintelligible (think Cylons from Battlestar Galactaca). This bug was addressed... but now, there’s a new incoming call screen that may or may not stay long enough for me to answer an incoming call. If that screen disappears before I answer the call, the call continues to ring, but there’s no way to answer it. It’s great when it works. That’s unfortunately about 50 percent of the time.
