This is a game changing product capable of turning any limited space into a working soundstage. I’m currently using one mic for live performances of a four piece ensemble and have been pleased enough with the results to consider adding more mics. The sound quality is as good as your performance, venue acoustics, and mic placement…and actually better than I would have expected! Please note that limitations of your iPhone’s memory can make large file transfers difficult as I have recently learned. As such, I will be upgrading my phone before embarking on a multitrack route. The App is generally good but like any relatively new product, is a work in process. They are actively working to improve the app and will take your feedback seriously, which is all you can ask for. I would like to see an option to download direct from cloud to computer for editing in a DAW or video editing software, which would bypass memory limitations in trying to offload the file to your system. Otherwise, this is a very promising product with a great company behind it.

My last review was deleted before I was able to submit it. I’m an audio engineer and producer and in my professional opinion you’re much better off syncing your song to what ever media or using a a real field microphone with a Hyper cardioid pattern this product as a really cool concept but until they work out the MANY BUGS I would not buy this it is simply a waste of money and time to try and get it to work in a pitch and by the time that the microphones start working the app 1/3 times will crash and the microphones will be stuck on record mode with no way to turn them off I’ve had to wait until one of the mics died to disconnect the other one… not sure if anyone else has had these problems but almost every time I’ve tried to film content with these mics something has hindered the creative process/actual filming a few times they deleted what I was recording MID RECORDING. It just stopped the video and the app crashed. Again it’s a really cool concept but is it worth spending over $200 absolute not. The audio quality is also worse than an sm57 which is $99 not over $200. Also you don’t have to pay a $100 subscription to store your data and gain accesses to the editing features.

Great audio quality, app constantly improving

The app keeps getting better with every update. Would love to see some ability to zoom into the timeline of an audio or video clip so it’s easier to edit. Would also like to see an auto setting for the mic gain, the new clipping and compression features absolutely help though if something is too quite or loud!I had issues in the past with syncing of audio and video as well as long transfer times and that’s all been addressed and fixed. Support team was always helpful! Would be nice to have a transfer later button after you stop a recording, if you need to move right on to the next song and would like to keep it saved to the mic memory in the meantime. It already sort of works that way if you cancel a transfer after selecting keep, you can start a new recording do that recording, transfer it and then click on the last session and transfer the files then. Doesn't feel good doing it as you could possibly lose the recording but it does work. Audio quality with the mic is awesome. This app and mic are a great way to capture live performances and upload straight to social media without the barrier of a computer and editing software.

All in all this is a 5-star product, and I’ve grown to rely upon it. I love it and I hope Audigo continues to grow and improve. I’d really like to see the product get into the $175 range, mainly because that’s what I feel like it’s worth. But I get it, R&D, etc. It’s a great product and there’s nothing else really like it.However, I find the leveling/panning interface within the app to be very frustrating. It’s nearly impossible to drag your tracks to a consistent and accurate level, and you never truly know where you’ve placed it. It’s almost like the pad size needs to be larger, and there needs to be numbers associated with the levels when you are dragging your tracks. Or at least some sort of axis system. Also, it would really be nice if the metronome was linked to a metered system within the session. For instance, if I wanted to split or move a segment/clip, I’m forced to move it by ear. Whereas in a DAW the metering is visible and I can move it exactly onto the beat.Additionally…come on already and let us duplicate tracks within a session :-) why should I have to record backup vocals in a chorus twice? I feel like these changes would allow musicians to spend more time in the app being creative.
