Was using this company since 2023. Paid close to $400/mo until last fall when I had a medical issue prevent me from working for a few weeks. Typical story; income stops, credit cards get maxed and you jump through hoops to work with everyone for a hardship pause… AutoPayPlus… when the bank who originated my loan agreed to allow a hardship application; AutoPayPlus began calling for a payment mistake they had found from MONTHS earlier, saying even though there were no payments going to the bank they had found a payment was made in months earlier that they just realized “wasn’t withdrawn” from my bank. $363 PAY NOW. EVERYDAY from September until December (sometimes multiple times a day) they called, At first I talked to their “customer support” I explained that I had less than no money right now. I had below $0! I explained the bank was processing my hardship application. One representative after another would finally check the computer, the correspondence and agree to enter the information. After months of using their “service”, during the hardship of family death and clinical diagnoses ($2500 copay paid over less than 3 months) I was actually being harassed. One associate made sure to basically call me a liar and threaten court action with an utmost contemptible tone.This company has no regard for your loyalty and no issue with turning your hardship into nightmare. Landlords, credit companies, the ACTUAL BANK was willing to work with me through a 3 month hardship. Slowly digging out of that hole. Paying companies who held me during my crisis. And AutoPayPlus, they will no longer be my payment concierge who were CONTRACTED to FIRST remove money from my account and THEN pay my bank to make life EASIER for me. THEIR clerical error has me here, months later, paying back $363, at $20/mo ;) writing this review in hopes it will quench the burning pit I get in my stomach every time I think of their lack of respect for MONTHS, NO YEARS, of loyalty (BIG surprise) as soon as the bank Digital Federal Credit Union (who did not harass me) was able to push through their mountain of financial hardships (due to 2025 government shutdown) and approve my application NOW AutoPayPlus calls have stopped, now that I’m digging out, now that I’m back to work and getting control of my life back they email their offers to begin “helping” with the cumbersome bank payments. Wow. Don’t fall for it! They are a company with no scruples. Even now, months later, I feel myself becoming emotional. My suggestion; find a different payment concierge or set up your own automatic payments. Do Not Go Through AutoPayPlus unless you’re sure you’ll NEVER have an emergency that requires a company that will value your loyalty with a TEMPORARY hardship.End of review (rant)
