Our MyBlue App is a simple and secure way for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts members to manage their health care.

Our app is the most convenient way to stay informed about your plan when you need it. It connects you securely to your health plan information when you need it. With a simple tap, you can connect to your claims history, recent prescriptions, and financial accounts balances.
To use the app, you must register using your member ID that is located on your member ID card.
Key features of the app include:
• A digital ID card, that can be emailed, printed and saved to your phone
• Access claims activity and details
• Doctor information and visit history
• Medication information and refill dates
• Find doctors, dentists, and hospitals
• Connect with member service or our nurse care line
• View information for dependents under 18
• Phone numbers and driving directions to hospitals, pharmacies and doctor offices
• Financial account balances, such as a Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Health Reimbursement (HRA), or Health Spending Account (HSA)
• Plan and benefit information
• A tool to look up medication coverage
• A secure message center and in-app notifications
• Ability to submit for your fitness and weight loss claim online
• Ability to view a historical summary of your claims for the past 2 years
• Expand preference center to additional category and channel options
• Access to your 1099 tax forms
• Elect or update your Primary Care Provider during standard business hours

Painfully slow

Even running this app on an iPhone 11, it’s still unbelievably slow and laggy. It takes around twenty seconds (if I’m lucky) between when I tap on something for it to actually do anything. When searching for a medical provider, once you click on someone’s name, you can’t go back to the search you had open. Incredibly inconvenient. Only good thing is being able to sign in with Face ID because typing in your password takes forever for it to actually sign you in.

Littered with usability bugs, limited features.

I love the concept of this app, but creation of an account with password easily triggered a bug where I could not use a special character even though it was required. After making my account less secure in order to work around the bug, I was able to move forward. However there are still bugs around multiple usernames.

With all that said, the only useful feature here is digital cards, and that is not easy to find.

My expectations were low

I mean, the Find a Doctor tool never worked for me even on the web version, so why would it work on the app. I had to end up calling customer service every time and had them send over a list of in-network providers that would accept my plan. Totally useless..
