Effective and Gratifying

Making me laugh when she’s angry, and making me actually feel good about myself when I complete tasks. I really like how this to do list app is different from all others. It’s not that it’s overly simple...it’s that it’s training you to be consistent and reliable...and there’s a lot of thought and psychology put into that to do it right. You level up, gaining confidence and unlocking more and more complex (relatively) options until it revivals other apps that come with everything right away. CARROT is personal. The simplicity at the beginning helps those of us who don’t get around to things BECAUSE we get overwhelmed and BECAUSE other apps and lists can feel too complex. Starting on an easy level and gradually boosting your confidence until you are comfortable enough with the app, and before you know it , you’re actually tackling your goals. For real. And I’ve tried everything. I have over focused adult ADD, and while I have good intentions and can be highly motivated to begin with, I lose focus quickly. Like with this review. Done.Also I echo what LOLAJEFF just said.

I’ve been using this to-do app for over a year now, and while it has been effective, a year later I’ve grown tired of the constant nagging and snarky comments to motivate me (I used to be more amused by them, but am now weary of them). And so I’m going back to another to-do app that I liked and used in the past.My biggest wish with this app, which still has not been granted, even though I emailed the developer regarding it about 10 1/2 months ago, was to set windows of time that are off limits to CARROT, such as for when I’m sleeping or working, during which times I’m not able to complete tasks in my to-do list. I received a response saying this was a good idea for a future upgrade, but that was many months ago, and the functionality still hasn’t been added (I read another user’s review that echoed similar sentiments). I just find it disappointing that I get CARROT in a good mood by completing a bunch of tasks and later find CARROT in a bad mood because of time I was not able to spend completing tasks due to the need for getting sleep or working at my job, which in my opinion is not fair. I really hope the developer adds this ability in a future update.

I love this app! My boyfriend introduced me to it and I was skeptical at first if it would really be helpful. I have tried so many things to try to be productive. This app is the only thing that has truly helped me be consistent with getting tasks done. Carrot is so funny, and sassy! It is a great mix of her positively rewarding you when you do tasks within a certain time and also getting upset when you haven’t done anything in a while. It’s so weird, for the first time in a long time I’m actually excited to get stuff done! This app is great, 5 stars all around and I highly recommend it, especially if you are someone who struggles to get stuff done consistently or in a timely manner or just in general. I hope to be able to try the other Carrot apps too!

I couldn’t wait to try the 4-pack of Carrot apps!Unfortunately, I wasn’t really feeling like this one in particular, hit the mark. Although a weather App is a Weather App, I was surprisingly impressed with carrot Weather. If you get into the Settings and make a few tweaks, and then push ahead to get some Rewards, these Carrot Apps ultimately had me looking forward to using one again. My favorite has to be the task listing that you can popular and then cross off when you’ve completed it. The more you complete, the more rewards. Which then ups your Player Level, which in turn allows you an ability that you couldn’t do up till then. Long story, short, I expected something a bit better, BUT as the days progress and the rewards PILE UP, that’s fun. Theirs one thing that does bother me a lot, there are about 5 different voices to choose from, and there EXCEPTIONALLY BAD. And I’d have to purchase one of their other voices if I wanted to make any changes. Plus, I don’t even get a preview of the voices. The Carrot 4-pack was on sale when I made my purchase, but I do believe that I’d buy it again, as long as it was no more than $5. The Carrot Weather App is the BEST weather App I’ve ever used. The Graphics are wonderful and the customization available to you is fantastic. I hope this helps if you’re trying to decide on the purchase. Go ahead and buy it...you’ll like it!
