Just stopped working
I have several Defender systems and had this app for a couple of years. I have both the original system and the Defender HD 1080p systems at different locations. I have been thinking of upgrading to a 4K system. With that in mind I have tried to stay loyal to Defender but since they have apparently decided to not to support their past customers by not maintaining this app I am in turn not supporting Defender any longer and will now move on to the Reolink 4K system. Hopefully Reolink will continue to support their customers better than Defender has.
APP REALLY NEEDS UPDATED AND FIXED!!!
This app has been on a steady decline for quite some time. For whatever reason this company will not stand by its products and they obviously will not update their app.
The last time this has been updated was 2 years ago! We are 2 major iOS versions into the future and this app is no longer stable. It crashes constantly.
I contacted the company about it and they told me that because my camera equipment is no longer under warranty, they weren’t going to fix the app. They seem to think that the camera equipment somehow makes the app crash on an iPhone? Really?! Not sure what they are thinking, but that makes no sense at all.
I really hope they read these reviews and will take measures to fix this app to make it compatible with the latest phones and operating systems.
Won't connect to device
This company is by far THE WORST in customer service! In the midst of getting help, he just decided to up and leave the chat and transfers it to someone else!! How is that even possible?! I would post pictures of the convo if I could. Apparently my device has the wrong IP address🙄 WORST COMPANY EVER! And I never say that!!! Don't waste your time buying this product and expect to use it on your phone! This app doesn't even deserve stars!
We have tried to connect to our device over and over and to no avail. Please fix your app. No sense in offering it when it's a waste of everyone's time. We paid good money for the cameras and should be able to access the view(s) on our phones. Fix your stuff Defender!
