Countdown App & Widget 4+

Beautiful and lots of potential!

This is a very nicely designed simple app, and great for a V1. I’m using it to motivate me towards a weight loss goal (actually a shirt size goal haha, from XL, to L to M!) it’s very helpful and motivating to see that goal I’m working towards in front of me every time I look at my phone.
Since it’s a bee app, naturally there are a couple UX improvements that can be made; For example, I would love to have the ability to group a series of goals into a “group” and then being able to simply select that group in the widget settings rather than picking individual events.

Overall, this is a great start! Thanks Stefan and keep up the great work.

Good and bad

Beautifully simplistic but that’s also its downside. It’s real simple to set up a countdown to a date and crate a widget for it. But that’s also it’s down side. If you want to set up a retirement countdown or even a vacation countdown, you certainly don’t want to count days that you don’t work or days that you are already on vacation. This app can’t do that, it can only countdown linear calendar days. There’s no calendar to remove days you don’t want counted. An extremely important item that this app lacks. This app will not do non-linear counting. ** The developers response is correct they do provide MINOR abilities but if you have a modern schedule such as working two days on, two days off or the need to remove certain holidays, these modifiers are extremely limited. In no way does the developers response nullify my initial review.

Love it. Really helps keep life and priorities in perspective.

Feature request - would love to be able to select the unit(weeks/months) to the target date, especially for dates further out in the feature. ‘90 days’ seems like a lot more time than ‘13 weeks’...
