DREO 4+

One of the best purchases I’ve ever made

I live in a part of California that rarely gets above 70 degrees F, thus most houses don’t have AC. However there are a few weeks a year where the temp can build up inside a home to around 80 degrees. Last year I bought 4 DREO fans (one for each of the mostly used rooms) that you can operate from the app. The app makes it all worth it. If you are in bed and wonder if you turned off the fan in the living room, you can check the app and turn it off from there if it was left on. If you’re on the couch and want to turn the fan on, you don’t need to get up - just use the app. But my favorite feature is being able to angle the fan and its rotation to exactly how you want it. Although there are buttons to do some of that on the fan itself, nothing compares to the exactness you can get from your phone - and while sitting exactly where you need the air flow to go. Today it just got hot enough that I needed to use them again for the first time this year and immediately I thought “these fan are one of the best purchases I’ve ever made.” I’m definitely a very satisfied customer of the fans and the app.

Much Better than Expected

The 5-star reviews are warranted. I have the humidifier and never thought that having a smart connected humidifier would be useful and everything in my house is connected. Here’s why it is: 1) Scheduling on and off in the winter saves me from having to fill the tank as often. I used to forget to turn off my old humidifier and found myself filling it every night. I can usually get 3 nights on the low setting. 2) Cleaning and filter reminders are really helpful. 3) control of the humidifier settings when my kids are sick is great. If I start hearing coughing, I turn up the humidity level without having to go in their room and possibly wake them.

The App is also fantastic in appearance, ease of use and connectivity.I’d put it best in class compared to its competition. Dreo is doing things right and I hope they continue to release more products.

If the developers are listening, please release a Home Assistant integration or a full API. As amazing as your app is for most users, I would love to be able to control and set automations outside of the app. There is a third party integration for HA, but it’s very limited.

I’m a fan of Dreo fans
