Description

HINT Control is a cross-platform app for accessing and managing your T-Mobile Home Internet gateway, with some extra features compared to the official app.

Features include advanced statistics, WiFi radio control, SSID management, and band steering, with more to come as more is discovered about the gateways.

HINT Control currently supports the Arcadyan KVD21, the Arcadyan TMOG4AR, the Sagemcom Fast 5688W, the Sercomm TMOG4SE, and the Noka 5G21. The Askey LTE gateway is not supported at this time.

This app is NOT affiliated with T-Mobile.

HINT Control is open source and also available for other platforms. Check out the downloads and source code at https://github.com/zacharee/ArcadyanKVD21Control/.

Why no updates?

What’s the deal with Apple not allowing updates? The desktop version has been updated half a dozen times since this version. On the GitHub site, you can see newer iOS versions, but they’re not getting to the App Store.

Got strange error after setting change

I tried to change my WiFi settings (change one access point to WPA2 instead of WPA2/WPA3) but after making the change I was getting this error when connecting to the wifi. “This network is operating on Wi-Fi channels in use by several other nearby networks.
Restarting your wireless router may allow it to automatically choose the best channel to use, and may resolve this problem.”
Not sure how this happened. Could be user error (if so, I’m sorry). I did factory reset and didn’t try Hint again. Too bad, looks like a great app.

Great app - needs Paste support for login

Really frustrating that you can’t paste password or use password manager to login. That said, this app is very convenient. Would prefer a web app instead but I’m thankful someone made literally anything for managing these garbage ISP-provided gateways. T-Mobile you are terrible and I hate you for not providing more user control of these devices.
