The Sunoco app allows you to:
• Securely pay for fuel and in-store purchases, using your preferred method of payment (accepting the Sunoco Rewards credit card, all major credit cards, debit cards, Sunoco Gift Cards, and Apple Pay)
• Save on fuel with participating Grocery Rewards programs.
• Find the nearest participating station.
• Track and monitor your purchases.

Variety of settings to fit my needs. Easy receipts right on the app, with no need to bother with pumps that are out of paper, or lines inside the station to get your receipt. Pull up to the pump, use face recognition (which I could if not on my motorcycle with a helmet and eye protection) or a 4 digit passcode you make up, enter the pump number, fill up and go. Just don’t forget to replace your fuel cap and close the fuel filler door on your vehicle. You’re all set. Love it, especially when on my bike, since my phone is generally easily accessible without getting off of the bike.
Although I followed Sunoco’s advice (after leaving reviews), app still fails to scan rewards card # and won’t recognize manually entering the number so, although I was willing to change my review, app still gets a one star.
I tried to add my AdvantEdge rewards card to my profile using app camera and manually entering card numbers. Both give a error message, “invalid”. Had hoped to contact app developer to assist but get another error message, can’t find server. Apparently Sunoco would prefer a one star rather then offer a fix. I had hoped to use the app but if I still have to carry a rewards card then what’s the point? No support and inability to add a rewards card. Read reviews and you will see others have had the same issues with the rewards card so there is a pattern.

After over two months of begging for help from Sunoco’s poor excuse for Customer Service... I have given up on ever getting my Sunoco Credit Card to successfully load into the app. I have found a competitor in my neighborhood with more gas stations, all equipped with app compatible pumps, and an app that actually works. After a 25 year plus relationship w Sunoco, I’ve decided its time to move on. Three parties, Sunoco, Citibank and Stupido... and no one can figure out how to make this work. Lord have Mercy.

We apologize for these issues you experienced and the time it has taken to resolve. A member of our Customer Service team will be reaching out to you to confirm the resolution. While the app is not yet accepted at every station, the majority of our stations do accept mobile and more are being added each day. You can always find stations which accept mobile pay right in the app using the Station Locator feature. Sunoco Rewards cardholders will receive the 5 cents per gallon discount regardless of whether they use that card in the mobile app or swipe it at the pump. If the discount is not reflected in the mobile transaction, it will be credited on the account holder’s statement. We appreciate your patience as we work to solve any issues.
