My PetSafe‪®‬ 4+

My cats are DEMANDING of food. 5:00am and 5:00pm - like clockwork. They drive me crazy. Not being able to sleep in a little on the weekends is frustrating. Coming home to unhappy cats when I get off work late from a shift at the hospital seems unfair. And, my cats are on a prescription diet; I can’t just leave a bowl of expensive food out all day for them to chow down on and become overweight.

So, I bought the PetSafe automatic feeder. It’s programmed to go off at 5:00am and 5:00pm each day and once it does, I get a notification on my phone that my cats have received their exact measured portion of food. The notification on my phone is a really nice touch, because when I left the state for four days, I received the peace of mind that my cats were taken care of. And on the fourth day, coming home, my feeder alerted me that it was low on food and to refill it so the cats continue to receive their regular meals. The feeder holds much more than four days of food. I just didn’t fill it completely before I left AND I programmed it to give them a little snack in the middle of the day while I was gone to take the place of the dental treats they would typically get if I were home.

I will never go back to life without my PetSafe feeder (if I can help it). It just makes my life so much easier. And it keeps my cats happy and healthy.

The petsafe scoop free litter box is really nice ! We got the unit that includes the hood and the tracker. I am not a fan of scooping out the litter box, so for me, this was a game changer. Our Sphynx kitten took to it instantly and uses it without hesitation. I like that the unit looks nice and pleasant as well. No one wants an eyesore. This is also my first experience with crystal litter and I will say I am a fan. The odor is mild (until the litter needs changed), which is a must for me. Stinky boxes are a no go. The set up was easy and did not take a lot of time either, so that is another plus. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the litter tray does not last a month like it states. It lasts my 1, 14 week old kitten maybe 2-2 1/2 weeks. I don’t really mind it, but it would be nice for them to be transparent about that.

I upgraded my cat setup. I got the scoop-free litter box and an automatic feeder and waterer (uses a different app than this one, but it will be my next review). This product is a LIFESAVER. Apollo only took only a day to make the change. He was scared of it at first but now he has chosen this over his old litter box. And I like it SO much more because it doesn’t clump and stick to his feet like my old clumping litter did. It would make a mess in my bathroom I had to clean up every few days.

I put my mat under this one just in case but the litter has stayed completely in the box. I have smelled no smells either. The app hooks up perfectly so I can monitor when he uses it and how frequently. You can also do a manual scoop if the last scoop didn’t get everything (it usually does though). But now when I go out of town, I do not worry about my cat! Also set up a camera so I can check on him and his food levels and bathroom habits. Previously I had to ask one of my friends/neighbors to pop in and check on him if I had to go somewhere. Thankfully I do not have to do that anymore!
