I bought the card yesterday and it said my funds would be available within 60 mins. I went through the registration all except for activation. When I try to activate it tells me to try again later and has not changed. The app still is saying my funds are pending also. I call the number on the card and cannot speak to anyone. When I press the prompt to speak to someone, it just keeps starting the call over. So it’s looking like I’ve just lost my 80$ Because I cannot speak to anyone to get anything working. I only bought it to be able to pay a bill yesterday, and of course that bill didn’t get paid because my money is still pending and I cannot get the card working anyways. I should have just went to Walmart and bought a green dot card I guess because I’ve never had trouble with them, my funds have always been available as soon as I register the card. This card is a dollar general brand reloadable MasterCard (spendwell, and it’s the only brand they had) I didn’t think dollar general would stoop so low to do this to hard working ppl that chose to shop at their store instead of Walmart.

I bought one of their cards at the dollar general store because it was reloadable, so when I got home and did what it said to do, I tried to get online to the account, it kept knocking me off saying invalid password, and I had it wrote down. So I called the number on the card, and they said it was activated, so i tried to use it online, it said invalid card number. So I spent the money on this card that won’t work for me and I can’t create an online account to see how much I have on it. It’s useless and I will not recommend it for anyone. I’m going to take it back to the dollar store and demand them to give me my money back for something that won’t even work like it’s supposed to work. I got the card to finally work, but I had to put it under my mom’s name to get it activated, but I can’t get into the account we put it under because it says the same thing as it did when I tried to sign in under my name, account doesn’t exist. I know the card worked because i made a purchase with it, but I just can’t login to your website. So after I get the new card or when I use up the money that I have on this card. I’m not going to put any more money on it and just forget about the account. It is totally useless.Also when I try to sign it, it will say sending email to verify sign in and I never get an email to verify it’s my account. So trying to use this card is useless and trying to online to website is even more useless.

My grandma got me one for my birthday. She asked a dollar general employee what she would recommend and this was the card she recommended. The cashier said it was a good card and also said that it was refundable. Which is the only reason why my grandma bought the card. So after following the directions and “registering” the card they told me to make an account so I did but it made a whole new account without the temporary card on it. I even downloaded the app as it said and it still won’t let me connect the temporary card to the account. Customer service is no help at all. Called several times and the same lady answered and told me to register it and kept giving me the steps even though I already went through all of that. It shows the balance online of $100 available but we can use it anywhere. Can’t get money from the ATM and even went to 3 different dollar generals and it kept saying no checking account. It has been 3 days since all of this has started. The dollar general manager said the card was non refundable so that was a whole fight. The district manager said it would take 24-48 hours until the funds would be available to use but on the receipt it said the funds would be available after 30 minutes after purchase. Misleading information from dollar general and no one is of help. Bank won’t do anything about giving us the money back. Screwed out of $100. DONT BUY THIS CARD!!!

They make you think you are getting a prepaid card with spendable money on it. Drag you through a very personal “registration” that just creates a bank account for you that you didn’t know you were even doing. After going through all of that nonsense they give you a screen that shows your new bank account with $0 in the account and they claim they are sending you a debit card in the mail. They also give you a temporary virtual card to “use” while you wait but the money that you thought you preloaded onto the card doesn’t actually exist. So you have a new account and they have all of your information and you can’t use the money you “preloaded” at all. Absolute scam of a company if you can even call it a company and Dollar General should be ashamed to even carry such a product. Do not buy any of these cards. I wish there was a way to get this out to more people since they will most likely only be seeing this after being dragged through the terrible process of “registering” the card they bought. Terrible terrible product. They will leave a reply on this review about how sorry they are that they didn’t give a 5 star experience and they would love to help but they won’t. And somehow they have manipulated the reviews on the App Store to show 4.7 stars but when you actually look through the reviews 90% of them are 1 star. DO NOT BUY THESE CARDS!!!
