Relief Central is a free app, used by tens of thousands of clinicians, that includes 6 resources published by leading health organizations. Relief Central is a free mobile and web resource developed by staff and friends of Unbound Medicine. It includes the latest versions of The World Factbook from the CIA, CDC Health Information for International Travel (The Yellow Book), the Field Operations Guide from USAID, Prime PubMed Search, and Relief News from the Red Cross, United Nations, US Centers for Disease Control, CDC, FEMA, and more. THE WORLD FACTBOOK The World Factbook from the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) contains detailed information on the history, people, government, economy, geography, communications, transportation, military, and transnational issues for 266 world countries and territories. CDC YELLOW BOOK (Health Information for International Travel) The Yellow Book presents advice on any travel health issue including vaccinations, essential trip planning and safety tips, prevention of an expanded list of travel-related infectious diseases, altitude illness, motion sickness, sunburn, medical tourism, and much more. I have used this app to stay up to date on Covid since the initial outbreak. Not once have I felt the general anxiety out there because I felt informed and because I was informed I knew what to do. That isn’t necessarily a guarantee, but I continue to follow the guidelines here and am at peace knowing I am doing all that I can. Thank you for this invaluable service. I will continue to share with colleagues, friends, and loved ones.

My Mom was an RN from ‘67, an EdD, and she was Dean of Nusing at Lewis University until she retired in her late ‘60s. My Daughter is an MA with three courses to go for her RN. I started working for Civil Defense in ‘67, today I work for TINLEY Park EMA, and do consulting for several Federal Agencies and DOD. We all find the app and it’s content incredibly invaluable.
