I been a fan since the days of its origins when the app was a necessity to track live down the busses. And although it was lucky matter to see a bus on live tracking since very few will be using it on the Go feature, the interface was more user friendly and the app didn’t freeze as much as the official one from the county. I never reviewed an app before and much less type this much but credit is well due on this one. Thank you to the entire team behind this app because the work you guys have put into it shows very well and make it worth a payable subscription. The new ticketing feature makes the cherry at top. I struggled with digital passes thru the official county app and all because I forgot to unlock my card one time for the charge and now it seems like my card is banned from direct onboard usage or even on the app to buy passes or credits. So transit now saves my life by not only allowing one way passes purchase that can be used later on another time but also digitalizing passes and takes any card on my apple wallet. Paying the subscription really makes it better app than the official one by interface and ease to get the info needed and to the destination! Congratulations guys for your great work, it is highly appreciated and valued.

I live on Long Island and have been taking buses most of my life even though I own a car. I prefer public transportation and this app is usually 100% accurate about bus times and trains as well. When I go to New York City, the app is invaluable. Most subways stations now have a timer to let riders know when the next subway is arriving but for taking the bus it’s accurate as usual. And when I travel to Philly, DC or Atlantic City, the app knows where I am and can also tell me when the next bus or subway is coming. My one complaint is that if a bus isn’t coming, the app lets you think the bus left it’s departure point and is arriving at it’s scheduled time and it doesn’t. For example, twice last week I waited for a bus to arrive and the app told me it was on its way and no bus showed up. The next bus, a half hour later arrived as scheduled. It’s not the app’s fault the bus didn’t show up despite there not being construction or detours (the app is good, not great, at alerting you if there are going to be delays due to weather, traffic or construction), so I had to make the issue known to the bus company and they resolved it. So I wish the app could tell me if a bus is coming or not even though it’s supposed to. I assume there’s some type of tracking on the bus but once the scheduled time came and went when I was expecting the bus there was no bus for two days, increasing my already long bus commute home. Still, it’s a solid app and customer service addresses my needs lighting quick. I have no other complaints. Friends from out of town who never use public transportation have come to rely on this app when they visit NYC. I swear by this app!

I’m able to get enough use out of the app to not have to pay for the subscription at this time. But what really gets on my nerves is the accuracy of arrival times for the bus. Sometimes it gives me an estimated time that should allow me to get to my stop on time only for the bus to speed right by me several minutes sooner than the stated time. Other times it indicates that the bus is on the route only to find out that it’s not because it never arrived. I also noticed that sometimes the bus’s signal will disappear one minute and then reappear the next minute. I would give this app a five star rating if not for the problems with arrival time inaccuracy. This may be a problem having to do with the transit authority here but it still is very irritating, especially during bad weather like heavy rain or high temperatures. Keep up the good work developers and hopefully the transit system will be more accurate for their customers. Update: The arrival time accuracy problems continue. 1 star rating until this app and my local transit authority stops lying about the status of buses on the road. Update 2 : I ended up missing a bus because the app pointed me to the wrong stop. The bus I was going to take no longer uses the stop the app recommended. Although this may be the transit organization’s fault for not properly listing the routes on the sign. At least the app is improving on arrival times and warning about buses not in service. Fix the accuracy with stops and this will be a top ten app.
