First of all, the food is awesome! The employees in the Centre St. Boston store were all happy and created a very welcoming atmosphere. I couldn't be happier. The app gave me some trouble when placing the order. I'm a first time user so, when I placed the order and it didn't give me any indication that the order had been placed, I placed it a second time. The manager of the store was attempting to locate my phone number when I called and was very understanding and friendly. He rectified the second charge right away and made the difficulty worth the interaction.
I would ask that completed orders being prepared have their own menu that they show up in right away. Also, it would help if there was a way for customers to provide a call back number to be contacted in the event the store has questions. If I hadn't called, it's possible the order would have been made twice.
Otherwise, awesome idea, awesome food!
Great Food. Staff could use some training
1-One if the main doors is locked. Should b unlocked
2-when I arrived 2 staff members were behind counter and not busy. Nobody greeted me. Nobody said I’m busy but will b right with you. When. Cashier finally came to register she was still talking with cook and then when she stopped she just looked st me waiting for me to start the conversation
Five guys must have a great training program because every time I go to one of their locations I am greeted with a smile and if the host is busy he or she at least acknowledges me!
The new version is worse
Love the place, hate the new version of the app.
-There is like 3 different ways to order the exact same thing. The app was perfectly fine the way it was, except for a few minor things. In an attempt to make it better it has now been made worse. Its just not simple anymore. More complicated than it needs to be (I’m a millennial who normally has no issues with apps).
-When trying to write special instructions at the end of your order you can’t see what you are typing which makes it very difficult.
-They still only allow like 10 characters for special instructions which make it extremely hard to write anything.
-And they still haven’t made an option for “dining in” when ordering on the app. Some of us just want our food to be ready when we get there. Why not add a dine in option?
-when they updated the app I lost all my presets like place and favorite orders.
-there is no way to delete favorite orders. I have too many similar ones and get confused between them now. Wish I could delete and start over.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
