Can’t see my appointments with the new update. I deleted and reinstalled the appt, but still I cannot see any of my appointments the page for appointments just appears blank. Anyone else experiencing this?

Hopefully this is helpful for other folks that may want to download this app. The whole experience starts off on the wrong note. When you download the app, you can’t actually use it because you need to get a personal invite from Stonybrook Hospital in order to use the app. Why??? No other patient portal I’ve used requires this. When you call Stoneybrook, they seem somewhat surprised by this news and take down your emails saying that they will send the invite email. None came and I tried twice. Eventually, I got frustrated enough that I went on line and came across a self enrollment link. Clicking this and following the steps, I was able to login to the app. But the misery doesn’t end there. There are lots of dead links. It’s incredibly slow to load test results and things like that. You cannot reply directly to a message, you have to create a whole new message and have the the offices email in order to send the message. Very stupid design! Every patient portals that I’ve used allow you to reply directly to the message - to the doctor, the nurse, etc. All in all so far very terrible experience

The worst part of this app is the appointment section. You don’t have the ability to cancel an appointment. You don’t have the ability to click on the appointment to find out which doctor you are seeing and the actual location and address. It basically looks like a rectangle that gives the date, time, and name of the medical office of your appointment. There is no ability to add the appointment with details to your calendar whether it’s a Google Calendar or Apple calendar. It’s just awful. You should be able to click on the appointment and see actual details. I’d rather go back to the old-fashioned way or Stony Brook should move over to the MyChart app like all the other major medical institutions have. The platform is substantially better and much more user-friendly.

When prompted to log in using a saved password from iCloud Keychain, the app does not automatically populate the password field. Instead, you have to manually search for the password, which is stored under 'Cerner.' Poor integration and the Face ID often gets reset for no reason so you can’t rely on that.
