WYZ has three features: 1) My Health, 2) My Team, and 3) My Community. In My Health, WYZ allows users to set medication and refill reminders and keep track of their lab results. In My Team, users can find community-based organizations that deal with health, housing and food, jobs and legal services, mental health and substance use, and wellness. In My Community, users can chat with other youth, receive medical news, and set clinic appointment reminders in their calendar. WYZ was created by UCSF Department of Medicine researchers in partnership with a youth advisory board and technology developers.
