This little box means you will never lose a tune ever again. If you’re like me and are constantly noodling and writing ideas on the piano but only realising it’s any good once it’s done and you can’t remember how you got there - this is for you. It literally remembers everything you ever play and then with a couple of simple keys you can save a marker of something you like to come back to. No more pressing record and feeling the pressure: just have ideas and come back to them later (even years layer). The app is simple, stable and easy to use and you can even playback directly into your keyboard or upload to your daw. I believe that even playing directly into the daw is possible but I haven’t tried that yet. Basically - if you play piano/keys and write music then get one of these and stick it in the back of your keyboard/piano/synth. I have two and thinking about getting a third. My only criticism is the name which could be something a little more elegant/pro as jamcorder makes it sound like a toy - which it is not: 10/10

Rainy Goodness
This is SUCH a thoughtfully designed app and product. Being able to play back anything I’ve played, and that too through my piano itself, is a game changer for practice, learning, and composition. My mind is blown. I’m so excited for how this elevates my music.A little bonus feature that would be cool is to be able to import MIDI performances easily from the web, to study chord progressions and things on my piano itself.

Easy out of box experience, and lovely app design. Really well thought out product. This device and app is designed to help you record your ideas without getting in the way, and that’s exactly what it does. You can literally forget the device exists and then rediscover all your performances when you decide to look at the app. Nicely done, yall!

• Improved: VoiceOver labels and controls throughout the app • Improved: sharing from the timeline automatically selects your current loop • Improved: troubleshooting help for firmware update problems • Fix: iPhone playback could remain silent after another app interrupted audio • Fix: Recent timeline could stop following new music • Fix: timeline could lose your place as recordings loaded or updated • Fix: MIDI playback now preserves recorded note velocities until you change the system volume
