more Running Genie has been easy to use and keeps me motivated on my runs. The guidance feels practical, and the app doesn’t overwhelm with too many features. I like how it tracks progress clearly and helps me stay consistent. Overall, a solid app that actually supports my running routine.

What’s new in 2.6.3
Every run has a story. Share yours.
Turn your runs into share cards with your own photos or generated artwork, a story inspired by your splits, and the stats you want to show. Choose a colourway, then save or share. Celebrate your weekly mileage with a new weekly card, or share any past week straight from the calendar.
Your finish line deserves more.
Genie now recognises your race. Confirm your finish, add your official time, and celebrate with a personal recap of the training that got you there. Share your finisher card and revisit every achievement in “Your race memories.”
Stronger plans. Smarter progress.
Training plans now build more naturally, with a dedicated long run each week and steady volume progression that continues after planned easy weeks. Tapers align with your actual race date, while injury adjustments keep the build sensible. Rebuilding is clearer too: plans update when you ask, with a clear explanation if something goes wrong.
A coach that gets you.
“Rebuild my week” now works the way you mean it. Genie confirms changes in your language and preferred units, and puts your measured heart-rate zones ahead of its own estimates.
More insight into every effort.
Post-run pacing and heart-rate analysis makes better use of your personal zones. Interval sessions are recognised by what you actually ran, and runners using miles and feet get consistent units throughout.
Garmin, ready from day one.
Laps and activity details now arrive from the day you connect, giving your first insights the same depth as the ones that follow. Sign-in is smoother too.
Better in every detail.
Full translations across all 11 languages, accurate weekly stats through daylight-saving changes, and updates that install quietly in the background.
2.6.3 Sep 13
Every training plan now goes through a quality check before it reaches you.
PLANS THAT HOLD UP
• Every plan is scored against real coaching standards and rebuilt automatically if it falls short. If it still is not right, the app tells you and offers to rebuild it, instead of quietly handing you a plan it does not believe in.
• Race day is never listed as a rest day, and runs never arrive without a distance.
• Weekly mileage builds in sensible steps, with long runs kept proportionate to how often you actually run.
• Tune-up races stay exactly where they were placed.
TELL IT YOUR LIFE, AND IT LISTENS
• Block off a holiday, a work trip or a week away in plain English, and those days stay clear. This used to be treated as a suggestion. Now it is enforced.
• If your goal race is ambitious for the time you have left, the plan says so up front instead of pretending otherwise.
YOUR PLAN IN YOUR LANGUAGE
• Workout descriptions now read in your language, including plans already on your calendar. Just open the plan.
A CALMER COACH
• No more empty replies, and confirmation cards spell out exactly what is about to change before you approve it.
• Insights read properly, with durations in minutes and seconds, and consistent training is no longer misread as inconsistent.
ALSO IN THIS RELEASE
• More reliable first sync from Strava and steadier Garmin activity delivery.
• Fewer sign-in failures, and account deletion now works for everyone.
• Smoother typing in Settings, and real progress while your plan is being built.
2.6.1 Aug 25
A smarter plan. Better insights. More reliable Garmin sync.
• Intervals are now scored rep by rep, not just by session average
• Add a goal race and your plan rebuilds around it, week by week
• Race day always keeps its full distance, even as your training adapts
• Coaching now considers your training load and sleep from the day of each run
• Heart rate zones can use the highest heart rate you’ve ever recorded
• See and share every split as a pace ladder
• Recovery trends are easier to understand at a glance
• Garmin sync is more reliable, including fixes for missing runs
• Your full Garmin history is available right from the start
2.6.0 Aug 18
YOUR RACE, ON YOUR HOME SCREEN
Race Countdown Widget is here. Add it to your home screen and watch the days tick down to your big race, with your goal time front and center. The Running Genie lives on the widget too, cheering as race day gets closer. No training plan needed, just a race to chase.

• Smarter training plans: better mileage build-up, race-week tapers and strength day placement
• Weekly and Monthly Reports now show up more reliably in Reflect
• Small fixes and polish throughout
Training for something? Add the widget, set your goal time, and let the countdown keep you honest.
2.5.0 Aug 3

• A cleaner, clearer chat with your coach.
• Faster plan updates, so changes show up when you expect them.
RICHER RUNS
Better route, pace, and cadence detail from Apple Health and Garmin, so every run looks and reads the way it actually felt.

1.7.4 May 12
Your running coach just got a serious upgrade.
You can now listen to your post-run insights. Pro runners can tap Listen after a run and hear Running Genie talk through the coach’s take, with a mini-player that keeps playing while you check the rest of the app or cool down.
Weekly and Monthly Reports are now much more powerful. Get clear training summaries, consistency trends, standout runs, progress signals, plan compliance, goal-race context, and AI coaching analysis built from your actual running.
Performance Insights are here too: see your estimated VO2 max, understand which run powered the estimate, track recent fitness trends, and get race predictions from your latest qualifying efforts.
Training plans are smarter and more flexible. You can start a plan mid-week, race week is now included correctly, weekly volume is better controlled, and if a week does not feel right, you can jump straight into coach guidance to adjust it.
Activity Insights understand your runs better. Running Genie now detects easy runs, long runs, tempo work, intervals, races, recovery runs, and trail efforts using pace, heart rate, splits, laps, distance, and activity context.
And for runners who train in miles: miles support now works across the app, including stats, training plans, workouts, reports, coach prompts, challenges, and share cards.
This update is all about making Running Genie feel less like a tracker and more like a coach that understands your training.
