Description

Get OnTrack and start driving for a discount! By earning a score out of 100, you can see how safe you’re driving and where you can improve. Every time you drive, you can improve your score by driving responsibly. The app also tells you how you are doing on your distracted driving.
Trip list: View a list of everywhere you’ve driven, including places where you had an event negatively impact your score, such as fast acceleration or hard braking. Use this list to determine if you have a negative driving habit that is repeatedly impacting your final score.
We care about your safety and the safety of others on the road. That’s why we’re giving safe drivers who use the OnTrack app a discount on their auto policy. You must be a current customer of Grange Insurance or Integrity Insurance to enroll in the OnTrack program and potentially earn a discount on your auto insurance policy.
You must turn on your location services for the app. Not all customers will qualify for a discount based on their driving. Ask your local Grange or Integrity independent agent for more information today.

Disclaimer: continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
Please note that use of OnTrack is restricted to invited users. If you haven’t been invited, you won’t be able to use the app.

Trash app

Collects non-necessary data to sell off to third parties. Also drains my phones battery.

You’re better off avoiding the premium “discount” this app offers.

Developer Response ,

Hi vectorShades, the OnTrack app does not collect any personal identifiable information, only data about your driving behaviors which helps determine your car insurance discount. We’ll share your feedback about battery life with our development team. Thank you.

Not Mom/User-Friendly

I have recently switched from Encompass to Grange and had to switch my safe driving app as a result (Encompass uses Routely). Therefore, this negative review is based mostly on the comparison between the two apps that I used.
There are several reasons this app is far inferior, and I will list a few below:
🚫 Not Mom-Friendly - what I mean by this is, sometimes, my children want to play on my phone while we are in the car. Even if I don’t touch the phone, it says that I have 25 events, for example, for a very short drive bc my kid was playing a game. There’s an option to say that I am not driving, but that’s not really honest since I am the one being a safe driver! There is no way to indicate that someone else was playing on my phone.
🚫 Likewise, if you are on a road trip and need to use the map app on your cell phone that is plugged into your car through Apple CarPlay, it counts the whole entire drive as a distracted driving. I drove (alone) to Columbus the other day and had 212 minutes of distracted driving because my map was on- navigating my way. I did not touch the phone once. *It also does this if you were streaming music through your phone to the car.* That needs to be fixed!
🚫And finally, there are no explanations as to what the rubric is for the driving score. In the encompass app, it told you if you go over 80 mph, you get a speeding event. This app doesn’t have any information in the “more” section. All of the links are dead. The FAQ link is dead and the other ones are as well. I actually came to the App Store looking for an update because thinking maybe mine is just needing to be updated. But I didn’t see one. I even searched online at Grange‘s On Track website, and couldn’t find any information besides some basic parameters.
It’s just a very poorly made, slapped-together-really-quickly-to-keep-up-with-the-other-companies safe driving app.
Once these serious kinks get ironed out (hopefully!!), will update review.

Developer Response ,

We’re sorry to hear you’ve been frustrated with your experience. Distracted driving and speeding are not used in overall calculated score but to promote safety. If you review distraction on the app score page there’s a large green tool button that will show your distraction broken down by hands free, handheld and actual usage. Speeding in the OnTrack app is relative to the actual speed of the road, not a designated value. If you have additional feedback or obtain more individual information regarding OnTrack, please contact einfocenter@grangeinsurance.com or 1-866-768-7209.

App very inaccurate.

How does one get 11 alerts in .8 miles driving around the corner for distracted driving ? Not too sure how a safe driving credit can be decided by a faulty app.

Developer Response ,

Hi Greg, thanks for sharing your thoughts about OnTrack. Please note that distracted driving is not counted in your score to determine your discount and is only used to coach good driving behavior within the app. We’ll make sure to share your experience with our development team so we can continue to make improvements where necessary.
