Barely functional

What a disappointment!

Confusing: There are no labels, just icons and stock pictures meant to indicate different hearing situations. Two people laughing over a cell phone in a cafe — is this for one-on-one conversations? Loud environments? Or simple audio streaming from a device, as the WiFi icon (though it uses Bluetooth, not WiFi) confusingly suggests? There’s no key on the app, their website, or in the materials included with the device itself, so who knows!

Unresponsive: Frequently, I can’t even get the app to respond. Tapping the slider *should* pull up the sound adjustment bars (with, as a bonus, more baffling symbols!) Tapping the central icon *should* pull up all the listening mode options (though, this would be more useful if I knew what they were in the first place...) But I’d say 2/3rds of the time, hitting these buttons does nothing at all. Rebooting the app doesn’t help. Reinstalling the app doesn’t help. My iPhone is running the latest software.

The hearing aid itself is powerful, and I don’t regret it in the slightest. But the user interface here, while much-touted, is shockingly weak. I expect more from the final piece in a process that’s been billed to my insurance as over $50K so far.

Very inconsistent

Good potential but it is inconsistent. I spoke to a rep today at Cochlear and they told me that the tv streamer isn’t compatible with the iPhone 12. I’m beginning to wonder the same thing for the app. The app says that it is compatible though. I hope they fix this issue.

Copy the Baja App!!!!

The Baja app was great. Easy to change volume. Easy to connect to microphone and tv streamer.

The Osia app is a pain to do anything and won’t let me initiate connections to other devices.

And, I should be able to CHOOSE to stream from my device, not have that as default.
