Description
Prompt+ is a professional teleprompter app which helps you present with confidence.
Simply read your script as it scrolls up the screen.
Prompt+ can be used with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and many other video conferencing apps, as well as Facebook Live.
Simply position Prompt+ over the Zoom meeting and read your script as it scrolls next to the camera.
You will present with confidence and engage your audience with excellent eye contact.
Here are some of the features:
* Scroll the teleprompter using voice recognition (on compatible devices) or speed control.
* Change scrolling speed and pause the scrolling when going 'off script'.
* Display a clock to help you stick to time.
* Import your scripts from Files, Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud or OneDrive in .txt, .rtf, .pdf and Google Doc formats.
* Add Rich Text formatting to make them easier to read.
* Set a countdown to get into position.
* Adjust the font size, colours, text alignment, line spacing, margin and width of the text area.
* Set the window transparency so you can see underneath the app.
* Mirror your text for use in a physical teleprompter device.
* Control the script remotely using a Bluetooth presentation remote, foot pedal, games controller, external keyboard or even another Mac or iOS device.
What’s New
Version 8.20.4

Turning off the red cursor when using voice recognition is now possible.
You can also vary the background transparency (macOS only).
Enjoy :)

Finally - a prompter app that works
I have tried a lot of prompter apps and they usually are difficult to use or they don’t work well with remotes. This one works, is priced reasonably and is easy to use.
I use an iPhone as a controller with an iPad as a display. It’s easy to paste copy in from most sources. Plus, changing the size of the font and margins is intuitive and simple.
I find an iPhone works well as a controller if you have a common Wi-Fi connection with an iPad. if you are in the field, you can use someone’s personal hotspot on their phone as a common Wi-Fi connection. Bluetooth is, unfortunately, unreliable in the field, and that is my only complaint about this app. I don’t take any stars off for that part, though, because Bluetooth has its own quirks.
I have used this as a prompter for national celebrities and they say it’s as good as a studio prompter. Plus the price is reasonable. This is one prompter app I can recommend.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write this encouraging review! It's so great to read about your positive experience of using the app and I'm thrilled that you're able to recommend it :) Best wishes, Phil
When it works..it works well, but it is super buggy
This app has so many issues. I worked on macOS for 13 years at Apple so I understand applications. The UI doesn't respond to a lot of standard macOS keyboard shortcuts, but that is a minor issue compared to basic functionality failure. I bought the app for the voice telepompter support, but that works iffy at best. It frequently looses track of where I am at, and starting/restopping gets it confused. I have to stop/start the Voice Scroll feature to get it to work again, and that is super annoying. The saving of scripts is buggy, doesn't seem to interpret files with < > in them, and sometimes doesn't save my work. I haven't spent the time to reproduce or report a lot of these bugs to the developer, as I just don't have the time to do their QA for them. Overall, it seems like a bad port from the iPad to macOS.
Voice scroll almost works
I was interested in this app because of the voice scroll feature. It does a really good job keying track of where you are at using voice recognition. *However*, it keeps the active text at the very *top* of the prompter. I wish there was a way we could make the text to read be right in the middle, where the center of the camera is. A way to adjust the top margin would do it. Other than this, it seems to do the best job following along using voice recognition than the other apps I’ve tried.
Developer Response ,
Hi there, thanks so much for your review. It's super useful for me to hear from people who are actively using the app, so I really appreciate your feedback and will take your comments on board for potential future enhancements :) Good luck with all your presentations! Many thanks, Phil
