Publix Pharmacy app

Slow and cumbersome and usually displays the error message: ! Unexpected Problem Call Customer Care. If I called Customer Care every time I get that message, we’d soon be on a first name basis. Also, I use an iPad for most of my online activity and have become accustomed to using the iPad in landscape mode since all but two of the apps that I use most of the time are able to be used in that mode. Since most apps can function in landscape mode it seems reasonable that this app should be able to do that as well. Crazy! I have registered my dissatisfaction with Customer We Don’t Care on multiple occasions without any success so I guess we are stuck with this app the way it is until the developer acquires more experience and competence in app development. Saying that you care is actually very different than actually caring.

Update: Hallelujah! By Jove, I think they’ve done it. The last time I used the app on my iPad I was able to use it in landscape mode. Thank you! That being said, I’m still getting the “Call Customer Care” error message but at least I don’t have to crane my neck at an unnatural angle in order to read the message.

Full of bugs, rarely works

This app is full of errors and delays. Rarely does this app do what it is supposed to. Prescriptions will say “Ready for pickup” then when you try and use “Pay Now” it changes it to “pending” therefore, you can’t prepay. That wouldn’t be an issue but I was trying to get my prescriptions delivered. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, logged out and then logged back in several times. Then, it still showed “pending” with no prepay options. On the fourth try, it just had a pop up that said, “Sorry, something went wrong. Call customer care.”

I called customer care and after spending about 20 minutes on the phone with the CSR trying to get the app to work, eventually she said to bypass the app and go directly to the website. I did that and after three attempts and got the pay now button. (this was because it kept logging me back into the app. I finally had to delete the app and that’s how I got it to work) I needed my prescriptions today desperately. When I got to the deliver option, they can’t deliver until tomorrow.

The CSR was nice but had I known that I couldn’t get this delivered today, I would have saved about an hour of my time, 2 calls to my local pharmacy, 1 call to tech support, uninstalling and reinstalling the app 4 times and trying to get on the website 3 times. It’s a shame because everyone at Publix is very nice & helpful but this app looks bad on Publix.

Terrible

I would say this is the worst part of Publix Pharmacy, but the pharmacist where I go claim they know nothing about this App and to contact the web developer. Doesn’t there need to be some cross training for them since I don’t get all my notifications. It’s not that user friendly when you first change to it from a previous pharmacy. I’ll have prescriptions that I’m not able to see. Lots of times I’ll be waiting for it to go off so I can pickup meds but it doesn’t always happen. I just get the run-a-round answers like above.
I’d love for the app to work similar to my previous pharmacy…Walgreens. There may be better ones but I do miss that there’s no way to click on your prescription name and it shows what it is for and all the pertinent information about it and safety information including storage and what not to mix it with, or certain food/drink that it can’t be taken with etc…
It would also be nice to darken the text bc it can be difficult to see.
Does this App ever get updated? It really needs some help!! Thank You!
