Love this app but new update needs some work…

I started using this app before the most recent big update. I love all the charting features but I agree with the other reviewer who states that the app is a bit slower and the interface for data input is much bigger than it was before so there is more need for scrolling and it’s generally visually overwhelming now. Also the previous version used to allow you to highlight the day on the chart and when you push “data” it would bring to data for the day you had highlighted. The app is functional and it continues to serve a purpose but as far as the bubble shaped, larger design it’s not my favorite. Overall, still a good app and I appreciate the tempdrop integration.

The one charting app to rule them all

This app is not yet as well-known as some of the most popular charting apps, but I think that will quickly change. I decided to try the free trial because I heard so many great things about it and the Kindara (which I had been using) customer service seemed to have dropped off the face of the earth. I have been so amazed by the Read Your Body app, and I don’t mind paying for it at all. It is insanely customizable, like 1000x more than any other app. Do you chart with sympto-thermal, Creighton, Marquette, or anything else? You can use this app! Or if you aren’t following a specific method, you can customize it in any way that works best for you. The app doesn’t make predictions, and it’s so nice to not have an app annoyingly predict your cycle incorrectly, especially when you have irregular cycles. The company is a non-profit that has better data privacy than any charting app I’ve seen. The customer service is amazing. They respond super quickly, are really on top of fixing bugs, and respond to user feedback. The app has a nice design with a clean, modern look. I was able to import all my charts from Kindara, so if you think it’s too much of a pain to switch, it may be easier than you think. I can’t wait to see this app grow and change over the years. It’s truly an amazing product.

Updated RYB App

I’ve been using the app since May. The version I started with was great! It was updated about a month ago and I’m not impressed. The icons on the daily charting all changed, which isn’t a huge deal but I thought the previous version was fine and I feel like I still haven’t adjusted to the new one. It’s been long enough I can’t entirely remember the previous version, but this new one feels like everything is bigger, so I have to do more scrolling to chart and notate in certain areas each day. But my biggest issue is how much slower this all is and how frequently it asks for my encryption key. I certainly don’t mind security, but whenever the prompt is there it seems to further slow down the apps ability to load the chart. It’s a small complaint, I know. But, compared to how quickly the previous version would load, this one seems slower. I’m also just not a big fan of change! But if the change had led to a more visually appealing design and kept the same speed, I wouldn’t mind so much. It’s just my opinion though! The purpose of the app and the affordability of the app are excellent and I will continue to use it. But hopefully the creators will see this review and reconsider some of the recent changes to the app - or at least speed it up!

Developer Response ,

Hi there, thanks so much for this thoughtful review! We're sorry to hear that you're not appreciating some aspects of the app's recent design upgrade. Happy to let you know that following feedback received from our community, we're currently working to make the data screen much more compact to reduce the need for scrolling. With regards to slow screen loading and excessively frequent encryption key prompts, please can you reach out to us at hello@readyourbody.com so that we can troubleshoot and support in depth in response to these issues? Slow screen loading may well be possible to resolve through a simple app reset! Thanks for your kind support and we're indeed listening to all feedback, and we're here to make your app experience even smoother :)
