Let’s be’s better than you think

Full disclosure but I’m both an employee of the bank and an avid user of the mobile banking app. Based on comments and support we’ve provided to customers, the issues outlined tend to be attributed (assuming user has good internet or WiFi access) to whether their mobile device operating system and/or our banking app are updated to the latest version. I’ve experienced the Face ID issue where it stopped working after I updated my iPhone. The solution is either reset security settings in the banking app or to uninstall and reinstall and then turn on Face ID. Let’s be real - larger national banks should have better mobile banking apps than community banks given their respective IT budgets are larger than the asset sizes of most community banks and they have hundreds if not thousands of dedicated IT staff to building and maintaining. That said, our app does what most customers need it to do with additional features such as mobile deposit, card controls, P2P payments, bill pay and digital receipts. And, we have local branches too in case you actually need a human being. Since I’m slightly biased, I’ll just submit an even keel three stars....but it’s better than you think.

Why doesn’t this app have card controls ?

The app is Ok . But why do is have to download a separate app for card controls ? I checked the main banking site . You have to download Secure lock equipment app. Why ?? Seriously?! I have to hand another app my information? People have Branch , Leaf , Chime cards with better apps . Get with the times Red River Bank . I’m supposed to be be able to use Card controls on app . It’s never worked . Always your request cannot be processed at this time . 😡 Never Never works .

What’s wrong with this app?

My account is fairly new but I am savvy about using my iPhone on banking websites as I have two other banking accounts that present me with fast easy transactions. With this RRB app, I have far more frustration than expected. I like to check my banking balance often to verify deposits and withdrawals. Three times in two months I have had to go into the bank for personal assistance. The app repeatedly fails to recognize my personal password and I am denied access to pay my bills. The result is that I must go to my Chase Bank app and use that checking account and then follow up with a personal visit to RRB to change my password once again. Grrrrrr! Not a happy camper!
