A few months ago I opened an account through the River app. I did it the day I found out I could in my state. After a few months, I received an email from River stating my account was closed. I never received any details regarding why my account was closed. Was it my bad credit history??? Was it a criminal offense from 20 years ago??? No details. I’m a hard working Union Laborer, completely legit family man. I have bank accounts and retirement accounts with legit financial institutions. So I’m still puzzled as to why this happened. I thought that River was a legit legal company who is focused on Bitcoin and Bitcoin mining and focused on the Bitcoin ethos. I guess I was wrong, I feel like all the podcasts I’ve heard the CEO on are full of crap with the things they speak about. It seems to me they are not a truly “Bitcoin ethos” company. It would of been great to be able to use one app for Bitcoin investing and mining. Hopefully this isn’t just another company building a new version of traditional banking.

Upon becoming A New Client and opening an account with Rivers Financial, I was able to and had access for several days. It wasn’t until I completed A transfer to add money to my bitcoin account with Rivers Financial that following this transaction was my account magically closed and my funds of $5000 was stolen without any further notification or update of my funds being returned back to me. The only notification I received was Account closure due to any reason as I am A new client and yet haven't had any response from this company or call back information after leaving A voicemail, sending two emails and making numerous attempts to get customer service on the li e to get answer about MY MONEY and the reason for my NEW account being closed. To me it seems like the suspicious activities is coming from Rivers financial end. Keep in mind I have children who I provide for and am VERY MUCH A hardworking single mother being stolen from constantly is very disappointing, and to hold someone’s money and without following up with them on their initial investment looks to me A Law suit needs to be filed on this establishment and report to the Better Business Bureau, so no one else has to experience such Legal robberies that looks like could be taking place at this time. As A cyber security specialist, this matter will be now submitted for investigation! The response time is very limited.

I was giving this service a trial run by sending some sats out of an account. Completed the entire sky-net like facial recognition scan & pictures of my ID etc. Received an email a couple days later stating that River did not approve my submission. I requested an explanation as to why they did not accept my submission & they did not produce any reason or answer. They only responded “River has a very robust security process in place because sending Bitcoin is an irreversible action”. Very poor excuse. The Client Service team was courteous, professional & tried to help me within their power. The ‘compliance’ team is useless. I’ve used countless services with a similar security protocol & have never experienced this. River needs to fix this.
