I’ll start out by saying I honestly really enjoy the buds+. They sound awesome, plus the ambient mic mode and numerous other features are really nice. The issue I have is if I pair the buds+ through the app, my buds+ have no sound coming through them. My phone just sends the audio through the phone speakers like nothing is connected. If I just pair the buds+ through the Bluetooth connection menu in my settings for my IPhone X, they will function normally. If I pair them through my Bluetooth menu though I cannot pair them through the app, which prevents me from being able to use all the cool features. My phone and buds+ are both on the latest updates. I have also deleted the app and reinstalled it, just to make sure there wasn’t just some bad file I downloaded. Or possibly just a glitch in my download. I have had zero issues with other headphone companies and their software for their headphones. This is a sad deal for me, because I really want to be able to use these headphones to their fullest
exten. These are by far the most comfortable and best sounding truly wireless headphones I have had.
App can’t find the buds
I just downloaded the app and tried to pair them with it and no success. I’ve tried everything and still no luck. I even deleted the buds from my phone and re-paired them and the app still couldn’t find them. I don’t understand how they can be connected to my phone (11 Pro Max on 13.3.1) yet the app designed for the buds can’t find them. iPhone users have waited forever for these features to be available to us for them to finally be here and not function correctly, that’s a shame. This is a bad look on Samsung’s part when it comes to convincing more to switch to buds over AirPods. It receiving 1 star until this problem is fixed and would receive less if possible with it being a useless app.
Update: Since the hardware on the older buds don’t allow them to work with iPhone I ended up purchasing the Buds+. Not ideal at all I know, but they do work with the app now atleast. This is definitely a missed opportunity still though with the original Buds being so new and kind of punishes early Apple adopters. Now my only problem with the Buds+ is the Labs tab is missing from the iPhone app allowing iPhone users to access the extra ambient volume and the side tap for volume up and down. Fix that and all will be good.
Developer Response ,
We're sorry for the inconvenience it may cause. Buds+ has improved its performance and usability through an enhancement of both the hardware and software. Especially, by having a new chip that has a better connectivity and memory, Buds+ features an improved connectivity. In addition, it is compatible with iOS devices. Since iOS compatibility is made possible through the new chip, it is supported only for Galaxy Buds+. Thank you for your understanding.
iPhone app ambient sound while on call not working.
I really like the buds plus and watched the great reviews. The iPhone app has a toggle to allow ambient noise to be heard, and more importantly hear yourself while on a call. However it doesn’t seem to work. I’ve paired and impaired, uninstalled and Reinstalled and even tried it on another iPhone. This is a show stopper for me since I need to hear myself talk while I’m on a call. I don’t know if this is a software issue, or my buds plus. I suspect a software issue. Any other iPhone users with this issue ?
