No quality control

Connectwise has taken this awesome product and introduced bugs. Whenever they come out with updates, more likely than not they have broken features rather than fixed bugs. Currently there is a flaw whenever you send control+alt+delete, more often than not the remote screen does not refresh and you have to log off and then login again. Also, 30% of the time the remote screen will only show half of the screen. And to get around that, I’m having to exit the remote computer and log back in. No quality control.

Much Better!

Just putting this review out there since there seems to be a lot of non-technical people giving bad reviews.

The new update for the app is fantastic! It’s much more usable now and they made a lot of improvements. Guest mode is awkward, but iOS made it to be awkward so there’s really no getting around that.

The interface is much improved and the ability to move the cursor around without having to find your “mini mouse” like in the old app is great. I’ve always thought teamviewer had a great mobile interface and the latest update from ConnectWise has made their app very comparable as far as the control side goes.

I wish the interface to connect with guests was easier to use. They place a webview in that accesses your screenconnect instance so they’re limited by web technology being a little clunky. If they made that mobile website version cleaner and more usable on mobile devices he whole experience would be a lot easier.

Also, please make the session last longer after logging into the screenconnect server! Seems like I have to type my password every time I want to connect to a guest machine.

UI can be improved...a lot!!!

My primary use case for this app on iOS is so that I can access unattended machines. My suggestions:
1. It would be nice for the UI to allow viewing nodes (aka machines) either as a list or icons
2. Once #1 is resolved, allow users to click on machine and view further details just about that machine...ie everything that shows on the web based version...specifically the live thumbnail preview
3. Implement ease of going forward and back similar to how Instagram UI allows...slide right to go back and slide left to go foreword
4. The slide-in menu is kind of tacky and not really user friendly...robust users would much rather prefer whole screen/customizable menus with the option to view links as a list or large icons

These are just to name a few as I can’t write you an entire book here. I’d be more than willing to change my review once you’re able to tackle these changes. If not, no hard feelings...I still love ConnectWise. Shameless plug: UI/UX is one of my core competencies, I’d love to help if you’re interested.
