There’s a switch on the side of your device. If it is set to mute (red) then the sound from this app will NOT come through the speakers, however the sound will still work for headphones. Other troubleshooting tips for sound:

have you tried toggling the side switch back and forth?
is the volume in the app’s settings menu turned all the way up?

Worth the effort to figure out
If you can’t get the sound to work, try toggling your phone off of silent mode.
This app is not very user friendly and takes some time to figure out how to use but in my opinion it is worth the effort. I enjoy the auditory cues for your breath and helps me stay focused on my breathing vs counting the length. Wish it were a little more intuitive to use.
Improves asthma and life
I’ve been using this app for years. Haven’t had to use my asthma inhaler after three months of daily practice. Even in the worst allergy season, I am asthma free.
