22seven: Budget, track & save 4+

I downloaded the app because I wanted to track my exact spending in order to save for a big future spend. First, linking my account was impossible without contacting support. 7 hours later, accounts were linked - success! Until I tried to set my goals.....Although you can set goals, it is so disappointing that the app only gives you the option to track goals if you are investing into Old Mutual accounts.

Why is depositing money into another account not an option? Not even a manual option where you tick a box if you met your monthly goal???

Hi Charlize. The current version of Goals is in beta. We're starting work on improvements to Goals soon. These will allow you to track your goals against any of your linked accounts. Keep an eye out for our newsletter and social media posts announcing these changes when they're ready!

This is an excellent budget app, in fact the best one I have used so far. Really great for setting up, tracking and controlling your monthly budget. User friendly and intuitive and gets better all the time with regular updates a lot of which are taken from listening to the customer feedback and suggestions. The excellent thing is that all the accounts are linked to your online bank and savings/investments accounts which really makes it simple to update. Also categorised into pre-loaded or your own custom categories which the app picks up when ever you do an online download so really useful. Minimal manual processes.

To top it off, the team is always available and ready to help and they really go out of their way to provide efficient and friendly service. Thanks TheSvens team to all of you.

I have been using this app since February 2019. It has changed my finances for ever. I was able to pay off serious debts by December 2021. This was only possible due to the 22Seven app. It is the first app I open every single day and which I use daily to manage my budget.

New users must allow 2 to 3 for the app to “learn” your spending patterns and allocate it to various categories.

I am a 22Seven disciple and I recommend it to all my friends. You will never be sad about using it - especially if you want to keep to a budget.

The support staff are super helpful and I still cannot believe it is free. 🤫

I have 2 recommendations for the dev team:

1. Please allow a balance from the previous month’s budget to be carried over - same as YNAB. This can be separate to all other figures so that one can see how you are doing over a number of months in terms of budgeting.
2. Please show a total for the budgeted amount, eg “R10,000 left of R11,000” budget, vs the current display which only says what is left of the budget. The budget changes from time to time, and then one must compare it to the budgeted income, which requires one to do ao on a calculator.
