Lacks only one feature

It would be great if the afrihost app did not charge for data use. The reason for this is that if I run out of data and am without WiFi, I am unable to use the afrihost app to perform a data topup which is a huge vastly and can potentially be a security issue if data calls and messages are one’s only form of communication/user is also out of call minutes.

Other than that it’s got everything I need and works well!

Worst Service Ever

Spent over R3000 and it’s been 5 days and no internet. Then you have Vuma saying it’s Afrihost and Afrihost saying it’s Vuma.... You spend HOURS on WhatsApp doing the same thing over and over and NOTHING happens. So now I have to go though the hours of cancelling this “no service” fibre.
Update: I purchased everything on the 14th April. Only had internet from the 3rd May. After many hours on the phone , 1000 + emails and many WhatsApp messages they eventually found out the had the fibre wires crossed over. I was about to burn the entire set up as they would not refund the fibre installation. I am happy now that it’s finally working but the connection was an absolute pain and I will never do that again.

Card expiration

I wish that it was easier to manage payment methods. My card expired recently and it was a hassle trying to edit it update this via the app. It can be a bit confusing with the relinking and it’s not always clear when it’s successful or why relinking/updating has failed. I updated a month ahead of time when the app prompted me to update expiring card details eventually had to call Afrihost to get assistance when my account went into arrears because the update are only effective from the next billing month or something. Would help if this whole process could be more user-friendly.
