Listen I think Showmax is an amazing app you can watch mean girls especially the new movie I love it so much you can watch Cassie mean girls you can watch like anything on it but not everything I love how they put the loud house you know seasons Netflix would never do that Showmax is better than Netflix I love the updates and I love the movie little on it whoever created Showmax and let’s go Showmax and I just really love it but the age descriptions for some things and I really wanna watch them but I can’t it’s just a bit annoying but whatever and please make more short for like 10 to PGO I don’t know 13-year-olds thank you very much Love Showmax love you girl
Miss the old Showmax already

As a consumer who uses Showmax daily, I hate how flawed the new one is. It feels like a downgrade. When streaming a series it freezes from time to time and will only have the audio on with a frozen picture till it catches up in real time after like 10 seconds. You have to download that episode in order to watch it properly with no glitches yet before I could stream perfectly well with no freezing. When downloading an episode of something, it does not give the option to view more information on that show, there is only an option to press play. In order to go to the last viewed episode you have to scroll all the way to the bottom and find that episode yourself unlike how the old Showmax would automatically redirect you to the last episode. As much as it gives you the option to watch the last viewed episode, sometimes we download to watch offline. Even the pixel resolution on my screen now seems darker yet it was perfectly bright before. I honestly wish I could go back.

Okay, so the presentation looks flashier - so what. They could have used the update to make some better functionality, but rather made it a bit more annoying.- When looking at info about a show, the is NO HOME BUTTON, so you have to back track through all the shows you had been browsing through before.- The viewing controls close too quickly, so you want to drag forward or back on the video you are left thumping away at the screen in the hope of catching the drag line quickly enough before it disappears.- In the view-within-view mode the app just CLOSES after each episode!- They really have traded off having some silly new avatars, against functionality. (Why did they bother? Some designer got a nice pay cheque while the IT folks got to push the project through super fast without time to try out functionality??)
Very bad streaming experience

When the Showmax app was first overhauled and a complete revamp was done, I had a very bad experience. There was a lot of buffering every 5 minutes on my cellphone. I cancelled it for a few months and hoped it would be improved and all issues ironed out. I’m back over 8 months later and I still can’t watch a tv show or movie without constant buffering on my iPhone. Because of the constant buffering on the mobile plan, I then tried to upgrade my pan to the standard one so I can watch on my tv and see if I don’t have a better experience. The app is built so badly you can’t change plans mid cycle! I had to cancel the subscription first! Truly the worst streaming app on offer. And no it’s not my data plan of phone that’s causing all the buffering. I have 3 other streaming apps and they work perfectly. I would ask you to fix the app but at this point it’s hopeless.
