I looked for a way to ask support in the app but couldn’t find a place to do so. I’ve been a member for quite a while now. It’s by far the best carb tracking app that I’ve found and I’ve tried 5 or 6 of them. I keep coming back here. I pay for premium even. However I’m really frustrated. I’m having a hard time entering recipes. After I get all the info typed in there is many times no “save” option. I have to click the upper right corner to get out of the screen and so lose everything I’m trying to save. I try to refresh the screen, I poke around at the top of the screen (where it’s just white space), I clear out the food search history - nothing. It’s hard enough for me to be faithful in tracking and with things like this happening quite often I’d rather just quit. This needs to be fixed. I’ve invested enough time and money with this app that I don’t want to throw in the towel, but this is annoying!! The other annoyance is if I make a typo I can’t correct it or add a word in the middle of a line without completely starting over. The cursor automatically takes me to the end of the sentence. E.g if I want “ground cinnamon” and I forget to type ground or if I type grnd I can’t just jump in to correct it, I have to erase the entire line and start over. SO annoying. Each extra keystroke takes time that I don’t want to devote to tracking. I need it to be easy! I love the scan feature. I wish all ingredients could be scanned. Can you help?Thanks,SMP

I have to finally leave a review. This is THE BEST app no matter what your goal is. I am now in perimenopause and adjusting my diet because fasting and low carb no longer work for me. I have to Carb cycle in order to ever get out of stress mode /carb burn. I change my macros daily. I also take breaks for hormone feasting and I have found I can no longer fast. I use this exclusively for my macros. I use a Lumen device only to see if I’m in Carb burn(aka stress mode) or fat burn- fat burn has been elusive lately. I also use Lumen to see if I need to fuel up before a workout. I HAVE to keep stress to a minimum now. I have used many other food logging platforms and Carb manager is the best. I love having the database, entering my own food when necessary and scheduling recurring meals like my crazy superfoods coffee. It’s just so much easier and yet adaptable. This one can’t be beat and has helped keep me stay at a normal size range for a very long time- which is also a bonus- it’s always been there for me- never just disappeared like some apps do. If I don’t track- I go up sizes, get frustrated, start tracking again to rein it in. I Carb cycle and when I take a diet break, I can adjust my macros to a window of maintenance and not feel bad- even if it’s just a day out of the week- you can see your numbers for gaining weight and know you’re no where close and not beat yourself up and just keep going. This app is truly my trusted best friend!

Low carb medical diet

I downloaded the Carb Manager app about 2 years ago. I was put on a low carb diet to help manage my epilepsy. I’m supposed to have no more than 15 net carbs a day. The Carb Manager app is so easy to use to help track my intake! It’s database is so large that there have been a handful of time in two years when I haven’t been able to find the food I was looking for to track. But you’re able to add it manually and with the help of a google search for nutrition information, it’s pretty easy to add food that’s not in the system yet, and you can store it for future use. What I love most is the recipe writing tool! I’m able to build any recipe that I make into the tool and it will calculate the nutritional information automatically. I can save that for future use as well. And it’s not just the ingredients. You can enter the steps to make the meal. There have been a few times that I’ve made a new dish and family members have asked for the recipe and I can email them the step by step instructions. The app has helped me learn what is in the foods I eat. I don’t have to use it as often as a did at the start because the repetition has helped me remember the carbs that are in the foods that I eat most often. I honestly don’t know how I would have completely changed my eating habits without this app. It has been invaluable for me. If you’re need to make a drastic change to your carb intake, this is an app for you. My medical issues are now under control and I lost about 40lbs as an unintended side effect. So win win.

An amazing tool

I have had a great experience using this app. It’s easy to use, and is on my cell phone — so, I can update or edit my food intake and track my protein, carb, fat, and calorie intake through out the day. It has been easy to find and match the foods that I eat which makes it easy to be accurate and personalized about my exact food intake. It’s also very user friendly vehicle so it allows me to easily see if a particular food that I may be consider for consumption will fit into the limits/goals — that I’ve intentionally chosen for myself since it has a display panel that shows the maximum amount of calories, proteins, carbs, and fats that I’ve decided to consume daily. I am currently using this as a weight loss tool because, I unfortunately had put on 30lbs during the current Covid worldwide pandemic. I’m excited to say that I’ve already lost 7lbs is just 10 days. I have lost this weight without starving myself at all. I can also track my activities, exercising, and water intake too. I can’t wait to continue — and I plan to loose all my covid weight gain. I plan to use this app even after I reach my goal weight — because, my body thrives on a moderate calorie, low carb, high protein diet that incorporates good fats. I love how the program has notations about keto friendly foods. I also hope to eventually use the many great recipes that are linked to this site. Hip hip hooray to the help that this app offers with regard to healthy eating. Thank you!
