At Universities & Beyond
When Roomie first started, we were specifically helping college students find a roommate. We have since expanded our features to allow people to search for a roommate nearby to their location, as well as at a college or university.

Finding The Perfect Roomie
Finding a roommate can be challenging, but we hope to reduce some of the stress during that process. To keep things simple, we don't require you to fill out a long complex form. Instead, we ask our users to build that profile around what they are interested in, then from there, we display other people in your feed that have similar interests. This allows you to see people you would most likely get along with first. You can also sort your feed based on who has signed up most recently to give you some flexibility around who appears first for you.

How It Works
When you see someone in your feed that you want to chat with, simply tap the blue airplane icon. This will allow you to send them a message so you can learn more about them. We give every user 5 chats. This means that you can chat with 5 people for free. After that, you can either watch an ad to chat with someone else, or you can purchase Roomie+ to access all of the premium features that Roomie offers. To keep your feed nice and clean, you can also tap on the red X. This will hide someone from your feed. You can always undo this by tapping the yellow arrow.


Roomie+
We offer a set of premium features that can be accessed by paying a one-time fee of $2.99. This will let you access features like Unlimited Chats, Unlimited Undos, No Ads and a boosted profile to help you find a roommate quicker.


Our Business Model
We try to offer a core set of features to our users for free to make it easy to find the perfect roommate and best friend. We display ads and offer in-app purchases to help cover the cost of maintaining our infrastructure.

Nice To Have Features
We offer a setup of other features that help people enjoy their use of the app:
- Chat with everyone at your university in a group chat (if you are looking for a college roommate)
- Easily filter by gender to prevent people of another gender from talking to you.
- Block or report someone if they are spamming you
