I have had this app on my phone for 2 years- associated with my insurance company because I get a $70 credit every quarter. I always check it while I’m in the store shopping to see what’s covered and what isn’t -scanning items prior to purchase. I went to use this app today and when I opened it it was just a blank screen. I deleted it and re-loaded it and it’s still a blank screen, so I don’t know why this app isn’t opening on my phone anymore. Was there an update that doesn’t allow for older phones to use this app anymore?If that’s what happened, that really isn’t fair to those of us with older phones that can’t afford to buy new upgrades ones.

As a retired person and limited income, I watch how I spend my money and by doing so to price shop. I purchase my diabetic supplies from Walmart’s because the prices are more affordable than CVS’s prices but due to lack of management not inputting information in the OTC data system the products are not covered by OTC at Walmart. I have contacted Walmart and OTC about this issue months ago and nothing has been done. I know sometimes the wheels of progress are slow but how hard is it to scan product codes and enter them into a database state wide? I am blessed to have the OTC benefits and appreciate them, at the same time though the companies need to keep up with updating the medical information and product codes.

When this was first rolled out, I downloaded the app, put in my info. It functioned PERFECTLY AS IT SHOULD. I could scan products to see if they were eligible for my OTC Benefit. I didn't even have to call after finding out how to do this. Shortly thereafter, I was locked out of my acct. I worked with a support person. They almost insisted that I was doing something wrong. I had already tried all the fixes, I entered my birthdate incorrectly the first time I tried to sign in on the website rather than using the app. This was when I was locked out. 3 or 4 months, we emailed back-and-forth, tried different things but it was never fixed. I understood from calls to customer service that the problem is with the app. So for nine months now, total, I have had to call to get my balances, I've had to call to see if products were covered. I can say now that it appears to be working again as it did in the beginning and I appreciate all the hard work that went into it. Ease of use has improved greatly.

This is was my first time using the app. I was very concerned having read a review that sounded horrific. By the end of the review it was hopeful that some fixes had happened however, that took 8mos ?! I am happy to say my use of the App was flawless! I was very surprised that after reading about baking items being covered that sugar was not eligible but the more expensive substitute sweetener was? I do value the app and program steering me to the healthier options just wished they weren’t at such a higher price point. If more affordable I think more people would seek to change to these healthier alternatives. My experience was great, thanks!!!
