- Receive live updates: We’ll let you know when to head to the store, when you’re up next, and if anything changes about your visit. We recommend enabling push notifications and location settings for the best experience.
- Receive promos & account notifications: Through the Sport Clips app, you can set your account preferences to opt in to the notifications you want, and specify how you want to receive them.
- Save your favorites: Love your MVP haircut experience? Save your favorite store and Stylist to your preferences for next time.
How to use
First, download the Sport Clips app and create an account or log in. Don’t forget to enable your location settings to see stores in your area. Next, select the store you’d like—you can choose based on past visits, your location, or the shortest wait—and tap “Join the lineup.” Then, choose which Stylist you’d like for your visit, and for any guests who may be with you. Tap “Join the lineup” once more and you’re in!
What happens next?
Once you join the lineup, our Haircut Tracker will give you a live play-by-play of how long your estimated wait time is, how many people are ahead of you, and your Stylist’s status. This way, you can plan your travel time and go on with your day while you wait for your haircut. Enable location services so we can seamlessly check you in when you arrive with our Geofencing check-in, making your entry to the store efficient and contactless. You can also let a Stylist know you’ve arrived instead, or enter your phone number in the kiosk in the store to check in. We’ll let you know when you’re up next! If you lose your spot in the lineup, simply tap ‘Join the lineup’ again and check in once you arrive at the store.
This is only my third or fourth tyme coming here in a row but it’s a guarantee not to be my last. I just got done working a 60+ hour work week; I’m tyred; beat; drained; all the above aggravated and just want to go home and question lyfe in general. However I need a haircut. Well I come to Sport Clips; the Cartersville location just to find out my stylist Kay; who is INSANELY great; personable and professional...is on vacation. How dare she rite?!?! Lol. So to the parking lot I go feeling defeated and broken just to turn around and go back in WITH my girlfriend who rather strongly convinced me due to the fact of her being tyred of my constant bitterness over my unruly homeless man-esq mop. So I flipped a coin and picked Autumn to tame the slowly turning gray mane that lies upon my giant melon of a gourde I call a head. Look; I don’t know the hiring process for this house of hair but I think they must have to be dipped in gold!!! She did an amazing job! I’m a child of the 80s so I am absolutely particular about my hair. I grew up on Guns N’ Roses; don’t judge me. Due to Autumns’ professionalism and just all around awesomeness; I’m no longer apprehensive when Kay abandons me. Everyone that works here deserves a raise and cake. Cmon; who doesn’t like cake?
Update is Frustrating

After the app update, I needed to re-enter my credentials for the 1st time since I registered. That took multiple guesses, but got in just as I was about to reset the password. I needed to create appointments for my 3 kids. I could not get past 1 or 2 kids when the screen would just refresh. I’m not a slow typer. It’s just their name and stylist selection. Takes seconds but I could not get through it without it resetting the screen and losing what I input. I finally resorted to inputting 1 at a time for 3 separate appts for 1 stylist. After the 1st one I just got the spinning circle before I quit after a minute of watching it and keeping my phone from going to sleep. Re-opened and went through the other 2 appointments one at a time. There is no Haircut Tracker or Wait List. I had no way of knowing if the 1st kid’s appt ever went through. I called the store and they said it hadn’t but when I went to re-create it I got an error that he was already signed in. I called back and they finally found him, but at this point I had no way of knowing where he stood in line or what our estimated time of arrival should be. They said he was 2nd so we booked it over immediately. This whole process took way too long and is no longer convenient at this point. I will try back in a couple of weeks when it’s time to return. I’m hopeful for some updates.

Not sure why others have had problems. App works fine, doesn’t really need all the bells and whistles. It’s straightforward and it functions as it should. Not the apps fault of stylists are done faster or may take longer. That’s the human element that really can’t be de-bugged. It would take away from customer service just to have a stylist update while they are with a customer. They can’t constantly run to the computer every 2 seconds to update their time. So what would you have a time frame within 5-10mins or good service. I choose the latter. I guess a picture of the stylist would be great so you always know who you have, that did confuse me once when I thought I had my normal stylist which I didn’t have under my favorite yet. Other than that it’s great. Bug adjustments as normal and updates are always coming out so thank you.

Horrible Check In Process (twice)

I have used this app for roughly a dozen-ish haircuts. The check in process is horrible. For the first bad experience, I arrived to the store, checked in, and a customer that was after me in the queue, that didn’t use the app, received the next available chair because his wife finessed him a spot in the next available seat, then another customer walked in that used the app before me and got the next spot. I just walked out of the store at that point. The next time, I walk in and my name isn’t on the board after I just entered the queue 15 minutes prior? Hm. There are two workers available, one lady is on the phone with a customer at the counter, another customer walks in as I’m trying to find out why my name isn’t on the board, gets seated with the free lady, and the lady on the phone tells me it’s going to be 30 minutes?!? Why? Because she was saving a seat for that customer on the phone who called in?!?The appointment system is jacked up. Either have timed appointment slots for customers, or don’t use the app at all and use a first-come-first serve method. There is no reason why a person that checks into the app 1 minute before you, should be able to arrive to the location 15 minutes later than you and get the next available slot, making you wait another 30 minutes.
