I started listening to UCLA’s Mindful app in Winter of 2017. I had just endured the longest, hardest year of my life. Grief. Guilt. Diana’s voice soothed me into heart and a peaceful mindset. Again, grief has hit us. We’ve lost six family members in two years. The most recent, my husbands’ mom, our son’s closest family member outside us. Sprinkle in selling and buying an expensive home, and I am back to panic. Of course I stopped meditating a few years ago. I’m back and will practice twice daily in hopes of lowering my crippling anxiety. I’ll couple this with CBT and socializing to encourage balance. Thank you so much for being here, being free, and sharing your calming gift with us!
Next best thing to being there...

I started attending the live guided meditations almost 10 years ago and it changed my understanding of meditation entirely. When I moved to SF, I downloaded many of the meditations from the website to help me continue. Now the app is a part of my daily practice and having it all on my phone means I can take 5 minutes any time of day to drop in. And Diana’s voice seals the deal for me. Hearing her takes me back to those early days at the Billy Wilder. Thank you, Diana!

This app is comprehensive but uncomplicated. I especially like the podcasts which are relatable, informative and actually help me remember I am not alone with my worries and troubles. Self-learning meditation is so much easier with this particular app and less daunting and time consuming, than weeding through the internet. It is formatted in such a way that it does feel more personal and tailored than I would have expected.
Comment on Vietnamese
A Khin
I appreciate your efforts to guide the meditation in many languages. I really enjoy the English ones. However, since I am also in listening to Vietnamese. The voice is very nice, and there’s one thing that need to be improved. Could you please work on the pausing point for every sentence? It’d be better if you work with a native speaker, they’d show you how to pause correctly so that listeners would follow the instructions easily. Looking forward to hearing improved guided meditation.
